Dear Ship Swap Writer,

I was incredibly lazy for this letter and basically copied and pasted most of my Chocolate Box letter. If you happened to match with me for both exchanges, my apologies, I hope you don't mind the lack of new ideas too much. Either way, thank you for writing for me and taking the time to have a look at my letter. My letters always get embarrassingly long, but I hope that won't put you off. I always like listing a whole lot of stuff in the hope that my writer likes some of the things I listed, rather than only listing two prompts that you might hate. So I obviously don't expect you to include every single thing I mention in this letter, that wouldn't even be possible. I've got some general likes and dislikes listed - those are the important bits, really. They're followed by a long list of tropes and kinks I like and some fandom-specific prompts, but if those don't work for you - as long as you include a thing or two that I like and don't include my DNWs, I'm sure I will love whatever you write for me. :D

Some of the fandom-specific sections are a bit longer than others, but that's only because I could think of more prompts for them. I'd be excited to receive fic about any of these ships.

Title: A Foregone Conclusion
Fandom: Fast & Furious series
Pairings/Characters: Deckard Shaw/Owen Shaw
Rating: NC-17
Words: 8115
Warnings: sibling incest, lots of roughness
Summary: They'd played this game for years, heated fights in the early morning hours that left them both bruised and breathless, but Deckard had always pulled back in time, as if he knew what would happen if he didn't. Until his hands lingered for too long one night, and Owen had grown tired of waiting.

Dear Yuletide Writer,

I am very excited about Yuletide this year (or rather every year) and I'm very happy that we apparently both love one of those fandoms below. Thank you for writing a fic for me and for taking the time to have a look at this letter. My letters tend to get long and rambling, I hope you don't mind that. I obviously don't expect you to include every single thing I've mentioned in this letter because I'm pretty sure that's impossible anyway. But I always prefer to write longer letters and give you more things to choose from rather than leave you with two prompts you might both hate (and I'm terrible at not being wordy, there's that).

I've listed some general likes and dislikes, followed by a long list of tropes and kinks I enjoy. Again, those are just there to give you some ideas, don't feel like you have to cram all of that stuff into one fic. Then there are some fandom-specific sections with a whole bunch of prompts. I've copied&pasted a lot from previous exchange letters, but that's simply because my likes and interests haven't really changed much recently.

I hope that you'll find something in this letter that you'll enjoy writing, some prompt that interests you or some tropes that you like. I absolutely love all the fandoms and characters I've requested and I'm excited to receive a fic about any of them, so as long as you try to include a few of my likes and don't include any of my DNWs, I'm sure I will love your fic. :D

Dear Trick or Treat Writer,

First of all, thank you for writing a fic for me and taking the time to have a look at this letter. Which is probably far longer than necessary for this exchange, but I tend to ramble. I have a few general likes and dislikes listed below. It's followed by a ridiculously long list of tropes and kinks I like (which you should feel free to ignore if you don't like long letters). Then there are fandom-specific sections with some prompt ideas - I tried to keep them shorter than I usually do in exchange letters, but like all my letters this turned way longer than I intended. ;) Except for one fandom I didn't really separate my prompts into trick/treat, I hope that's all right.

I hope that you'll find something in this letter that you'll enjoy writing, some prompt that interests you or some tropes that you like, and that the length of this letter is not offputting. I like lots of different kinds of fics and I love all the characters I've requested, so as long as you try to include one or two of my likes and don't include any of my DNWs, I'm sure I will love your fic. :D

Dear Inshipping Writer,

I just need to say first how happy I am that this exchange exists. :D I have so many incest ships, it's not even funny anymore. Apparently everything I touch turns into incest ... So I had some trouble narrowing this done and deciding which ships to request. I'm happy that you, dear author, ship at least one of these ships as well, and I hope that my letter will be somewhat helpful. My letters always get embarrassingly long (and I've copied and pasted a lot of stuff from other exchange letters), but that's just because I always figure it's better to give you a lot of stuff to choose from rather than just request two things and make you despair if you can't write those. So I obviously don't expect you to include every single thing I've mentioned in my letter; I don't even think that would be possible.

This letter has a few general likes and dislikes, an overly long list of tropes/kinks/themes I enjoy, and then some fandom- and pairing-specific sections. I hope that you'll find something you'll enjoy writing about in this letter. :)

Dear Rare Pair Writer,

Thank you for writing a fic for me and for having a look at this letter! I'm glad that you ship whichever of these ships that we matched on - and whichever ship it is, I'm very excited to receive a fic about it. I've copied and pasted a lot from previous exchange letters because my general preferences and the ships I'm into haven't really changed much in the last few months. I have a short list of general likes and dislikes followed by an overly long list of all kinds of tropes I enjoy, and then some more specific stuff for the ships I requested. Obviously I don't expect you to include everything I mention in this letter; I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be possible anyway. But I always prefer to err on the side of caution and write very long letters - that way you can hopefully find a few things in this letter that you also enjoy writing about, and ignore the rest. :)

Because I just found a whole file of prompt fills (for my favourite fic meme) that I wrote about a year ago and, for some reason, never reposted anywhere else but on tumblr. Because I'm apparently an idiot. I'll probably throw the Tim/Raylan ficlet on AO3 as well because it's actually pretty great. Edit: I did actually post the Tim/Raylan fic on AO3, so apparently I only forgot about the existence of the other fics. Here it is again anyway, plus two brief Herc/Chuck ficlets as well as two Marius/Adam scenes - the only reason I even found this file again is because I was desperately looking for that fic I wrote about Adam cleaning blood off Marius' shoes with his sleeve and I couldn't find it anywhere on LJ.

Anyway, have some old fic.

Obviously I don't expect you to include every single thing that I mention in this letter, I don't even think that would be possible. I just thought I'd make this as detailed as possible and give you the possibility to pick and choose which of these things also appeal to you as a writer. Posting that got_exchange fic, I just realised that I never crossposted my Yuletide fics on LJ and frankly I'm too lazy to do that now, but for the sake of having everything organised (and just in case anyone on my f-list cares), I'll at least link to them here:

Turn It Into Light
Rivers of London, Thomas Nightingale/Peter Grant, ~11,000 words
Peter and Nightingale drive to Kent to investigate a series of seemingly unrelated and unexplainable cases of memory loss.
Basically an attempt at casefic with some hurt/comfort and Nightingale and Peter getting together. I actually rather like how this one turned out.

As certain dark things are loved
The Raven Cycle, Richard Gansey III/Ronan Lynch, ~3300 words
"You keep talking about leashing me, Gansey, but you never do." Ronan licked his lips, a dirty challenge in his eyes that made Gansey take the leash from his hand despite his initial hesitation.
D/s porn including collars and leashes. Because those two are made for D/s (and for unconditional devotion and utter adoration, obviously), and because I love the ship, and because this fic is actually pretty hot, if I say so myself.

I'll post my shipswap fics after author reveals (and, you know, actual fic reveals, of course). In other news, I didn't write anything at all between Yuletide and got_exchange and shipswap now, which was depressing as fuck, but hopefully I can go back to being a bit less of a lazy shit now. I have certainly enough fic ideas, most of them right now for the Raven Cycle, plus some Rivers of London ideas that keep flitting around my brain, and enough Kingsman ideas to write a novel about, but it's so hard to motivate myself to write for large fandoms, so I'm not sure if Kingsman fic is going to happen or not. Then again the world most definitely needs more Harry/Merlin/Eggsy.

Author's Note: If you haven't seen it yet, Always Crashing in the Same Car is a 10 minute short film from 2007 starring Paul McGann and Richard E. Grant. It's basically dubcon porn in which McGann's character sports a glorious beard and reduces Grant's character to a whimpering, sobbing mess while fondling himself. I can't recommend it enough. You can watch it on youtube. Many thanks to the nonnies who cheered me on while I was writing this (and thanks for introducing me to the glory of bearded dom!McGann in the first place).

Dear Yuletide Writer,

First, I want to thank you for writing a fic for me and for taking the time to have a look at this letter. I will probably repeat quite a few things that are also in my optional details. Basically I will list a few general likes and dislikes, an overly long list of tropes I enjoy, as well as sections about the different fandoms and characters I requested, including some hopefully not too constraining prompts. Obviously I don't expect you to include every single thing that I mention in this letter, I don't even think that would be possible. I figured that would be more helpful than if I only listed three things I enjoy and made you despair if you hate all of those three things.

As a result this letter turned out very long, both because I ramble a lot and because many people like long letters. However, I do know that some people find long letters more intimidating/annoying than helpful. If that is the case with you, dear Yuletide writer, I would just ask you to have a look at my general Want and Do Not Want lists at the top of the letter, and maybe glance at the fandom-specific prompts to see if any of those inspire you. :)

That got embarrassingly long. I ramble a lot, I'm sorry. Again, all of this is supposed to help give you an idea of what I like, it's not at all meant to be restrictive and make your life harder. If you feel like you need to ask me about any of this, I have anonymous asks on tumblr enabled (same username as here and on AO3).

I think that's it. Thank you, again, and I hope that you will have have fun writing something for me. I'm really excited about Yuletide this year and I'm looking forward to reading your fic. :)
