I don't think Stannis feels guilty about Renly's death, because the books were extremely ambiguous about whether he even knew about how Renly died. I don't think Stannis was actively involved in Renly's death, not knowingly. Which leads me to the part where I'm convinced that Melisandre more or less raped him. I don't see Stannis consenting to that. (And I'll have such a fit if they turn Stannis/Melisandre into a consensual, passionate affair on the show.)
But nightmares would be cool. I don't know much about Stephen Dillane, but so far I've only heard good things about him. I'm not worried about the actor, just a bit about how they will write Stannis in the script.
