The king always seemed irritated by other people's shortcomings, as if they were personal slights meant to make his life more difficult. << This could be straight from the series. It's SO Stannis. And he would be uncomfortable with the knighting words, given that they're all about the gods. You're awesome for pointing that out.

Oh, and the touching. xD I love Jon's reaction, and how Stannis is kind of uncomfortable afterwards. This whole fic made me quite happy. Great job!
