There are some spoilers in this, though, most of my Greyjoy fics are spoilery. ;) I absolutely adore the Greyjoys because MAD VIKING PIRATES. Not Theon so much, but Asha (er, Yara on the show, but I'm ignoring that dumb name change) and Balon and Balon's brothers who appear in the later books. And I agree, the politics in the books are WAY more interesting than the magic.
