I'm fairly sure we were supposed to love Landa, or else QT wouldn't have written the character that way AND casted someone as charming as Christoph Waltz. And he must have been aware as well that Christoph is an attractive man and that quite few female fans would find him sexy. Quentin isn't blind, after all. ;)
I was just happy about a new Tarantino movie, especially one that would deal with one of my favourite subjects in an original way instead of the usual political correctness shit. I didn't expect to fall in love with a bunch of German actors I had ignored before. ;)
