Two more fics I wrote for prompts on tumblr. As the last one I posted, these are really just snippets I wrote in the middle of the night, without giving them much thought, let alone editing and reworking them. So don't expect any high quality stuff, just the junk my brain produces when I should sleep. My exchange fic is going to be fairly awesome, though. I think. I hope. I like it so far.

Ficlet number one: I usually hate those "x times someone did that and one time they didn't" fics, but since someone gave me a prompt like that, I was a good girl and wrote it. Have some Stannis angsting about his issues: "three times stannis wondered about renly’s sexuality and one time he knew".

Ficlet number two: the prompt was " Stannis, Renly and Robert in all their dysfunctional glory (hunting trip?)" Bickering, banter, and all three Baratheon brothers being dicks to each other, yay. I like this one a lot better.

You know what pisses me off? Blatant hypocrisy in fandom. I mean, I get it, we all have favourite characters and we are a lot more forgiving about their faults, and we have characters we already despise, so of course we're going to be even harder on them when they fuck up. And that's okay, we're all human and biased. But when two characters DO THE EXACT SAME FUCKING THING, and you applaud one of them for being badass and cool and doing the right thing, and hate on the other for doing something so utterly horrible and evil ... it's just dumb. It's okay to hate characters, and it's okay to be protective of characters you love. But that doesn't mean that those you hate can't occasionally do something cool. Nor does loving a character mean that they don't occasionally fuck up and do something wrong. But if character A doing something is totally badass (or at least acceptable), I don't see why character B doing the same thing is horrifying and wroooong.

The most obvious example of this is the kind of people who yell OMFG DOMESTIC ABUSE at Robert slapping Cersei, but cheer loudly and happily when Tyrion slaps Joffrey. Make up your mind: either hitting people is wrong, then you shouldn't be so happy about Tyrion slapping his thirteen-year-old nephew. Or you think that occasionally people are such dumb shits that they deserve a slap, and in that case I don't see why you get all outraged about Robert slapping Cersei. Because the situation was very similar. You don't get to feel all righteous and outraged about the one and applaud the other. I could go on and on with examples (kings executing people for high treason, which is apparently cool when "flawless" Robb does it, but despicable when "evil" Stannis does it; or kinslaying/shrugging it off when someone else kills your relatives), but then I'd just get angry. Angrier. *grumble*

Just, argh. Don't mind me, I'm in a ranting mood.

RL sucks, as usual. So instead, have one of my pointless, crazy, random picspams. Including both funny/ridiculous and hot stuff. But before that, I realised that I forgot to share a  few epic videos with you.

First of all, Jon Lajoie is hilarious. Have a look at this and this and this. It's worth the few minutes of time it'll take you to watch this. If you can't laugh about this guy, I seriously question your sense of humour. ;) It's silly, but the good kind of silly.

Second, although I've already spammed most people with this anyway ... this kid is awesome. But I'm afraid it's only funny if you understand at least some German.  The macro to go with the video:

Someone posted a few pictures of August Diehl from the Salt premiere in Berlin, over at augustdiehl . For those of you who don't watch the community, I just HAD to share this picture ... because August deserves more love. Now I almost want to watch the movie ... except that I really, really don't like Angelina Jolie. Maybe I should just wait a bit and watch August's scene on youtube or so? Apparently he only has a tiny part anyway.



I saw this and thought ... DIETERCHEN!!!!! Well, Dieterchen after Landa stole his pomade and made him smile by giving him a Bösendorfer Grand Imperial.

Oh, right, I need to say one more thing before I go: watch Le concert. Everyone. You know, that French-Russian movie with Mélanie Laurent. Yes, it's slightly cheesy, but it's more than anything else gorgeous, funny, and heart-warming. And I'm usually not into that kind of movie. Not to mention the beautiful music. I think this movie finally made me love violin as much as I ought to. *hunts down a few violin concertos and sonatas*
