I myself am a mongrel, who has her Christmas and Hanukkah too. A classic Deborah utterance oft-repeated in my family is a remark I made to my father when he hadn't eaten all his Hanukkah candy one year: "Will you eat that goddamn Maccabee? It's Christmas, for Christ's sake!"
