I'm glad somebody cared about my language geekery. And some people wonder why I'm obsessed with learning more languages. Sometimes it's really difficult to write about these characters in English; it's unbelievable how much gets lost even in the best translation. Especially when it comes to more abstract, philosophical terms, every translation rapes the meaning. But even everyday words can be intranslatable - German has no real equivalent to one of my favourite English words, "to chuckle". The complete sentence structure is different, and that influences how you think and write. My German style is extremely different from my English style. And now I'll stop with the geekery. -.-
