I happen to love language geekery, and I thank you for that insight into Einsicht. So don't apologize. My most recent rumination has been about the lack of a formal and informal "you" in English. The Russians have Bbl & Tbl (Vwee & Tee, believe it or not), you have Sie and Du, the French have Vous & Tous, etc., etc. I believe that having this distinction between the formal and informal can't help but have an impact on how one sees the world, especially since it becomes so deeply ingrained that it has an impact on every human interaction. And I wonder if the lack of a formal "you" isn't one of the reasons that most English-speakers seem so crass and rude to Europeans (not that we aren't.) I'm ashamed that as an American I really only speak one language, although I know a little Russian, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Primus Sele is helping me relearn my Russian, and I've been planning to study German for some time now.
That's a Bingo on Languages. :-)
