Well, yes, you can see it that way. I just liked how he took a completely new take on the whole Robin Hood theme instead of redoing the same shit that has already been done before. It helps that I really like Cate Blanchett, and although I can't stand het, I found their romance nicely in character and rather well done. But to each their own, I'm not trying to convince you here. :)
