Sex scenes in general are difficult to describe. But I'd rather NOT read smut than read about people exploding. I don't care how "explosive" an orgasm is - if I read about anyone or anything exploding, I imagine little pieces of blood and flesh all over the bedroom wall, and that's just disgusting.
