I agree with you about "sir" still not seeming respectful enough for the great and grand Christopher Lee. Only "Lord" would do in my opinion, but he hasn't been made a lord yet. And if anyone dares call him "Tophy" or "Topher", I'll do what Luis Buñuel said he used to do when he finally got completely fed up with Salvador Dali: "comb the cafés of the Montparnasse looking to slap him in the face."
Oh, Landa was a shoe-in for crappy Mary Sue stories, are you kidding? There are so many teenagers out there in love with him it's unavoidable. Worse than the Landa Mary Sue fics are the Christoph Mary Sues, especially the ones that have the writer's alter-ego picking up Christoph, taking him home, fucking him, and of course having him fall in love with her for ever and ever. Those are actually painful to read--I do so as self-punishment (not the good kind) only.
I appreciate that you have excluded said present company from what is an entirely accurate assessment of most hetfics. You'll be pleased to know that not only does my Landa have tons of gay sex in my "het" story, but he's just as capable of nastiness as he is in my slash stories. And my female character is a woman close to his age who's had quite a past herself. They're both suitably fucked-up and angsty. My heroine even had a BDSM relationship with an SS guard when she spent some time in a camp for smuggling. In fact, that bit in the story has proved so popular that I'm writing a separate BDSM pornfic just with those two characters.;-)
