Yes, when two men inadvertently touch each other that much, there's something going on there--even if it's completely unspoken and un-acted upon.

I e-mailed you Rommel's thunder-thighs pic. Rommel's come very close to the enormous thighs bicyclists have. And Rommel is just hot, anyway. In the pic you can see just a trace of his package, and the expression on his face is so "my eyes are up here, Fraulein," that it's almost too funny. I love it when Machi sends me sexy Nazi pics. Most recently she posted these links to tons of vintage photos of naked or nearly naked Nazis--I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

I would never write about any historical character without doing my homework first. One of the major pains about being a writer is that it's very, very easy to have a work of non-fiction published, but it takes twice as much work to write because of all you have to before you can even set pen to paper. And I couldn't agree with you more about RP. I'm just not comfortable writing it. I tried to write a BDSM fic about Christoph Waltz and the photographer who took those stunning B&W posed pics of him in Landa uniform but just couldn't do it. It seems disrespectful or libelous or something.

Yes, Nari was a little freaked out about my Heydrich "action figure" which I still can't bear to take out of the box. He's so pristine looking! I still can't believe that you two are living at any distance from each other. I can't quite comprehend it, although I did tell Nari to take photos of dirndls and send them to you. ;-D

I believe Berlin is one of those major contemporary cities like New York that has been in an almost continuously radical state of flux for at least 150 years. Which, come to think of it, you could say about Germany and America as countries. But then America's just a baby country, really, which I hope is why we're such an incredibly stupid and bratty one.

Paris didn't have the shit bombed out of it, but I'll tell you something: I've been to Paris twice and Berlin only once, but I remember more about Berlin than about Paris.
