The Bastard of Nightsong is the prince that was promised, duh. Nah, tbh I just want him on Stannis' Kingsguard one day. I don't think people hate him, they just think he's ridiculous. I think it's one of these fandom things that just took on a life of their own. Somebody pointed out a tiny detail in canon and it went on from there.
