I only drink vodka. Pure, mixed with whatever. It's really rather sad.
I somehow suspected there was a touch of the East Slavic in you. Or maybe it's just the Berliner in you. ;-)

I personally will only drink vodka martinis when I drink martinis, with just a whisper of vermouth. Or better yet, I simply ask the bartender to hold the cap of the vermouth bottle over the Martini and let the fumes suffice. Or better yet, I have him make me a lemon drip martini. Otherwise I'll have it straight on the rocks, but only if it's a very good vodka.
