Edit: Letter is basically finished now! My apologies for keeping you waiting, author. (Life is very busy right now, so I hope there aren't lots of terrible typos and copy&paste fail in this letter. If anything is unclear, I'm happy to answer any questions.)

Dear Multifandom Tropefest writer,

Thank you for writing for me and having a look at this letter. I've got some general likes and dislikes listed - those are the important parts, really. They're followed by a list of kinks I like, should you feel inclined to write porn. The fandom sections have a general note on my ships and then the tropes I've requested - I've added an explanation when I thought I should specify what I had in mind, but some tropes are pretty unambiguous imo. This letter is mostly focused on the tropes I requested, but I've requested all of these fandoms in previous exchanges if you want some more general ideas, too.

As a general rule, I enjoy all ratings; I like darker, angstier fic and more light-hearted stories, although neither completely conflictless fluff nor completely bleak darkfic without a ray of hope are quite my thing. I'm always happy about porn, but it's not a must. I like shorter fics and plotty longfic. If you do write porn and you want more smut-related prompts, I've requested most of these ships for Smut Swap before. The fandoms are listed alphabetically. The length of the fandom-specific sections doesn't indicate an order of preference; I just had more ideas and prompts for some of them.

I use the same name on AO3 and tumblr as here.

Do Not Wants:
  • character death of characters I like (random side characters or antagonists dying is fine)
  • serious illnesses, permanent injuries (blood and wounds that will heal again are fine)
  • completely tragic/bleak endings
  • animal death/cruelty
  • genderbend of any kind, mpreg, A/B/O, characters being werewolves/vampires/anything than what they are in canon
  • non-canon gender identities/sexual orientations (e.g. writing characters as trans or asexual), except for writing characters as gay or bi
  • unrequested ships (including canon ships)
  • unrequested crossovers or fusions
  • complete AUs (canon divergence is fine, but no high school AUs, coffee shop AUs, in space AUs, groundhog day AUs etc.)
  • permanently unrequited love or permanent breakups for my ships (this doesn't apply to my FNV requests)
  • unnecessary epithets, please use characters' names/pronouns unless their name isn't known to the POV character (or unless the characters think of each other by e.g. their title rather than their name)
  • 1st and 2nd person fic (1st person is fine for RoL from Peter's POV)
  • for porn: detailed kink negotiation, safewords for scenes that don't involve consent play (and even then I'm not really into safewords); scat, watersports, coming in pants, crossdressing, feminisation, body modification, infantilisation (daddy kink and calling characters "boy/girl" is fine)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things I like to read about:
  • first time/getting together: slow burn, pining, UST finally getting resolved, but also antagonistic hate sex or casual hookups that are only later followed by feelings (emotional pining while already having sex is great)
  • friends with benefits who think the other one can't possibly be in love with them/want a serious relationship
  • developing relationships: relationship conflicts after the characters got together, trying to figure out how to make things work, some things maybe not working at first, temporary breakups, basically anything that doesn't assume that first time sex -> perfect relationship
  • porn, especially porn with feelings/porn that says something about their relationship (see list below for kinks I like)
  • enemies to lovers, partners to lovers
  • reluctant allies grudgingly starting to like each other
  • non-verbal expressions of affection, unusual romantic gestures that fit the characters
  • familiarity, intimacy, characters getting to know each other better (their habits, their hangups etc.)
  • pre-canon/background stories, first meetings/first impressions (especially if we didn't see those in canon)
  • post-canon fic
  • canon divergence
  • casefic
  • moral dilemmas, characters having to question/go against their principles, situations in which there is no clear right or wrong
  • loyalty, devotion, trust, but also trust/commitment issues
  • obsessive, codependent, complicated relationships
  • unhealthy relationships that should be a trainwreck, but work for the characters involved
  • obsessive/intense family relationships
  • us-against-the-world
  • villains/sociopaths in love, bad guys who would literally burn down the rest of the world for each other
  • jealousy, possessiveness
  • age differences
  • misunderstandings (as long as there's a good reason for them)
  • competence, characters being smart and skilled and good at what they do; characters with different skill sets complementing each other
  • hurt/comfort (after injuries/exhaustion, not so much with illness)
  • angst: self-doubts, guilt, shame, internalised homophobia, nightmares, fears, self-destructive tendencies, alcohol abuse ...
  • period-typical attitudes towards sex, sexuality, class, morality, religion etc. (I obviously don't expect 100% historical accuracy, but I like reading about characters from different societies having different values and principles from our own - this also applies to fictional societies)
  • infidelity (not between my requested ships, but one half of my ship cheating on their previous partner with the other half of my ship)
  • meaningful name uses (e.g. characters who always call each other by their last name or title switching to using first names)
  • outside POVs, different POVs than in canon (more "usual" POVs are great, too)
  • sleep-related themes: waking each other from nightmares, falling asleep on each other's shoulder etc.
  • soulbonds (but no soulmates, please)
  • undercover as enemies (undercover as a couple is fun, too, as long as it actually fits the setting/characters, like spies or cops)
  • I like darker elements (violence, murder, noncon/dubcon, manipulation, depression, whatever fits your plot and isn't on my DNW list), but I'd prefer a happy or semi-happy ending. Feel free to make me bawl my eyes out, but please cheer me up again afterwards.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kinks I like to read about:
  • anal, blowjobs, fingering, intercrural, frottage, rimming & felching are all great
  • asphyxiation/choking/breathplay (this is my kink holy grail that makes everything else hotter to me; even just throat-touching without choking is great)
  • switching
  • biting, bruising, marking; possessive sex
  • rough/angry sex, hate sex, fighting/sparring leading to sex, adrenaline-fuelled post-battle and "thank fuck we/you're alive" sex
  • dressed sex, dressed/naked, clothes kink (suits, uniforms, gloves, boots etc.), neat characters being dishevelled for once, casual characters cleaning up nicely
  • D/s (I prefer casually developing kink to minutely negotiated, formalised BDSM; if anything under-negotiated kink is a plus for me)
  • kink discovery/exploration
  • strength kink; body worship; men's body hair (on chest, arms, thighs, butt; not so much on back and shoulders)
  • stubble/beard burn
  • hand kink; fisting; finger sucking
  • large/thick cocks (not absurdly huge, but bigger than average); size kink
  • bondage: leather cuffs, ropes, restraints, chains, collars
  • face slapping, spanking, flogging, riding crops
  • gun play, knife play, blood play
  • consent play
  • dirty talk (both the praising and the humiliating/condescending kind), voice/accent kink
  • praise kink
  • banter, teasing
  • hard, desperate kissing with lots of biting
  • barebacking (including the ill-advised, unplanned, unnegotiated we-really-shouldn't-have-done-that-but-it-was-so-hot kind - I'm not into serious STD scares, though; if there is an "oh fuck, what did we just do?" aftermath, please have both characters be certain that they're clean)
  • come play (licking come off fingers/skin, felching, feeding each other come, kissing after blowjobs/felching ...)
  • come as lube, spit as lube (especially the top spitting on the bottom's ass)
  • messiness (sweat, come play, dishevelled hair/clothes)
  • overstimulation; characters being overwhelmed, begging for more, becoming speechless ...
  • shaving (face or body), especially with straight razors/knives
  • sex on tables, against walls, on the floor, on a chair, in the shower ... (sex in beds is great, too)
  • masturbation/fantasising about the other before getting together
  • incest kink (i.e. characters who are related kinking on it)
  • competence kink, admiration
  • kneeling, hand kissing, physical expressions of loyalty/fealty
  • scars and their history
  • oral fixation (while smoking, drinking, talking ...)
  • sharing cigarettes, clothes, food ...
  • shame in sexual desires (whether about being attracted to another man at all, being attracted to this specific person for whatever reason, wanting to bottom, wanting to suck dick, wanting to hurt their partner, wanting to be hurt by their partner ...)

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Alexios/Brasidas
I mostly have protagonist!Alexios in mind for this (I see the appeal of Deimos!Alexios, but there's so little fic for this ship that I need to satisfy my protagonist!Alexios needs first ;)). I love his sense of humour, I love how cheerful and arrogant he is at times, I love that he likes to help people but will still tell them they're ridiculous dicks afterwards. I played him as fairly pro-Sparta and genuinely wanting to return home, which I think goes rather well with this ship anyway. I love his banter and his immediate connection with Brasidas (that warehouse fight! *heart eyes*), I love how much they just get each other and trust each other - even though Alexios really has reason enough to mistrust just about anyone he runs into. And since it's absolutely tragic the game didn't let us romance Brasidas, that's clearly what fic is for. :D As for Brasidas, I love how smart and cunning he is, how he thinks outside the box while still being a ruthless fighter when the situation calls for it, and how much he genuinely and openly cares about people who are important to him.
I'm up for setting this at any point during the game - around their first meetings in Korinth, when Alexios is in Sparta, or when they're working together later on - or post-game in a verse in which Brasidas didn't die. Because I'm in denial about that and damn historical accuracy. ;) I'm not really interested in anything Isu-related. I'm always up for setting any fic in an AU in which Greek mythology is real, Alexios is Zeus' son and the gods love fucking with him, but otherwise I'd just prefer if the reasons for Alexios' abilities etc. simply weren't explained.
While I usually DNW unrequested ships, I'm fine with mentions of 1) Alexios's male canon hookups, 2) Brasidas being married (or widowed) because it's just unlikely that he wouldn't be, although I'd see that more as a practical arrangement than a marriage of love, 3) any erastes/eromenos-style relationships Brasidas might have been in, whether it's him currently having someone under his wing or still being good friends with the guy who, er, "mentored" him years ago. However, I wouldn't want any of those relationships to be more meaningful to them than each other, if that makes sense.

Requested tropes:
  • Pining - Character thinks they aren't good enough for the object of their pining: works either way - Alexios is basically a demigod; Brasidas is a respected Spartan general; they both have reason to think the other one is out of their league
  • Pining - Character A thinks B isn't serious about them despite heavy flirting and subsequently pines
  • Pining - Promiscuous Character Sleeps Around Because They Can't Have the One They Really Want: especially interested in Alexios screwing his way through Greece while pining (and Brasidas being jealous but feeling like he has no right to)
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships: I really love friends with benefits who aren't exclusive, and eventually start getting really jealous about their partner having other lovers
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Soulbonds - Soulbound Characters Share Dreams + Soulbonds - Accidental Soulbond
  • Sudden Realization - A's Near Death Experience Makes B Realize Feelings for A
  • Resurrection - By Travelling in the Land of the Dead to get someone back: preferably the actual Greek underworld and not a weird Isu-created hallucination or really any of the Brasidas-related nonsense from that DLC
  • Sex Tropes - Sparring Leads to Sex
  • Sex Tropes - Can't Find Privacy to Have Sex: post-canon Alexios lives with his family, Brasidas is most likely married and/or staying at the barracks, so finding a place to fuck in peace and quiet might be hard
  • Misunderstandings - A Thought B Rejected Them But B Only Misunderstood
  • Hurt/Comfort - Character being protected isn't used to being cared about
  • Flirting Under Fire (TV Tropes)
  • Certain Death Averted - Character survives injuries
  • Confessions - character confesses love due to imminent death but whoops! they're rescued: could be Brasidas when he thinks he's on his deathbed, but then he survives
  • Historical Setting - Period-Typical Homophobia: looking less for "everything is horrible!" and more for things like "well, sex with a guy is one thing, but if I let him fuck me up the ass, he won't respect me anymore" or "if only we'd met when you were 12 because then it would have been way more acceptable for us to fuck"

Blitz (2011)
Tom Brant/Porter Nash
I adore the relationship between Nash and Brant, the banter and dickishness, but there's also a lot of respect and trust, and it's there pretty much from the start (I love how Brant just shows up at Nash's door to tell him about all his problems basically a day after they met). I'd love to see anything that explores how their relationship develops further after the movie or something exploring what was going on between them during the movie.
Requested tropes:
  • Sex Tropes - Casual Sex leads to feelings
  • In Denial - Repressed attraction: Brant is probably not very comfortable with being into men, even less men he's working with
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships: what if Nash started dating someone else? Especially if it's after they had a casual fling and Brant never made it clear he wants more than that.
  • Meet the Family: either family, though Nash's family meeting his asshole boyfriend might be double hilarious
  • Outsider POV - Character Has Entirely the Wrong Idea About What They Witness: whether anyone sees them as a couple or just as police partners, they look weird together. You'd think Nash should despise Brant, but he clearly doesn't.
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot
  • Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms: that's basically the entire movie, right? :D
  • Backstory - Pre-Canon One Night Stand
  • Infidelity - Cheating to Be Together: Nash has a nice, normal boyfriend ... and he keeps coming back to his human disaster of a partner who's an alcoholic and repressed and a dick and who just gets Nash.

Deus Ex
Adam Jensen/Jim Miller, Adam Jensen/Jim Miller/Francis Pritchard
Note:
I've played Human Revolution and Mankind Divided and I've read Black Light. I don't mind spoilers for any of the other games or comics or whatever else there is, but I'd prefer not to get a fic that requires me to be familiar with those parts of canon.
Adam's injuries prior to getting his augs are obviously exempt from my "no permanent injuries" DNW. However, I don't want anyone else to get their limbs ripped off or the like, and I don't want Adam's augs to get permanently disabled or destroyed.
I love Adam so much: that he's a genuinely good guy who wants to help people, that he's snarky and cheeky and irreverent, that (at least post-augs) he's pretty withdrawn and emotionally unavailable and has all these walls built around himself (and I really want someone to get past them). I like angst and suffering and Adam is a well of suffering, and I enjoy it while simultaneously wanting nice things to happen to him (after lots of beautiful suffering). As for Miller, I love that he has a temper and is impatient and often isn't particularly nice, but underneath that gruffness he cares about doing the right thing and he cares about his men. Similar with Pritchard: he's such a prickly jerk, but at the same time he's always ready to drop anything to help Adam. I'd also be happy to see any other TF29 or SI characters appear in the story. I'd especially love to see Sarif and Miller meet.

Requested tropes:
  • Touch-Starved: feels kind of obligatory for Adam :D
  • Infidelity - Cheating to Be Together: what if Miller was still trying to fix his marriage? But then Adam happens to him ... cue pining, UST, eventually spectacular bad idea sex that shouldn't happen again but will totally happen again
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Pining - Character A incorrectly assumes that Character B knows that A is pining for them: in any direction
  • Polyamory - Two people sharing a third makes them realize they like each other too: I'm thinking Miller and Pritchard putting up with each other for Adam's sake and then slowly bonding and getting to like and trust each other
  • hurt/comfort - stoic character finally passes out
  • Hurt/Comfort - Character being protected isn't used to being cared about
  • Hurt/Comfort - grudging acceptance of comfort: for the last three, I'd honestly take any one of the three as the comforted/protected/hurt character
  • Hurt/Comfort - Loneliness
  • Sex Tropes - Workplace Sex
  • Unequal Relationships - Should Not Date Because of Workplace Power Imbalance
  • Undercover - Forced to have sex to keep their cover
  • Undercover As A Couple - While Mutually Pining
  • Undercover as Bodyguard/Client
  • Confessions - character confesses love due to imminent death but whoops! they're rescued: works both if they're FWB and if they've been pining and in denial
  • Misunderstandings - A Thought B Rejected Them But B Only Misunderstood
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot: I'd especially love this happening between Miller and Pritchard, but honestly, anything works. Miller realising his pain in the ass Aug subordinate is hot shit, Adam developing a thing for his totally not trustworthy (yet) boss, Pritchard being so mad about wanting to bang the asshole new coworker ...

Dragon Age
Cullen Rutherford/Dorian Pavus
My dearest OTP for them both. <3 I love how much of a guilt- and PTSD-ridden mess Cullen is, that mixture of anger and fucked-up-ness on the one side and the sweetness on the other. I love how passionate Dorian is while still so often hiding his feelings behind his wit and some jokes. I love that their respective issues are a great recipe for intimacy issues and misunderstandings. I'm really into the idea of them being friends who stumble into bed together and have mindblowing kinky sex, and then they both catch feelings while both being convinced that the other one couldn't possibly be interested in an actual relationship (Dorian because he thinks he can't have a loving relationship with a man, Cullen because he thinks he's too much of a mess to inflict on anyone). But I'm also interested in different takes on how they might get together - if you'd rather write long pining while they flirt casually but think the other one isn't actually interested, I'd gladly read that, too! I also love post-canon fic for them, especially if it has Cullen coming to Tevinter for Dorian. Culture clash!
Requested tropes:
  • Can't Stop Thinking About It - B Accidentally Sees A Naked: especially if Cullen is the one to see Dorian naked; I think Dorian is a lot better equipped to handling seeing a hot dude he thinks he can't have na
  • Sex Tropes - Casual Sex leads to feelings
  • Cultural Differences- Different Attitudes to Sex: Cullen strikes me as a romantic who'd mostly think of sex as something you do with a loved one (and in Ferelden, another man can be your loved one); Dorian is used to sex with men being automatically something shameful and hidden and temporary
  • Under the Influence Drunken Hook Up Leads to Feelings
  • First Time - Loss of Virginity: I'm super fond of virgin!Cullen who was too awkward and focused on duty as a teenager to get laid and post-Kinloch Hold too traumatised to go out and get laid. Just please don't write him as naive about sex - he's a Templar, he lived his life in barracks and watching mages, there probably isn't much he hasn't heard or seen and he had a lot of time to fantasise.
  • Hurt/Comfort - Loneliness: for both of them, but especially for Dorian who's such an outsider in the south
  • In Denial - Repressed attraction: I love Cullen who feels bad for wanting a mage, okay.
  • Hurt/Comfort - Drug Withdrawal
  • Kink Exploration: of any kind, but I'm especially here for Templar/mage and master/slave roleplay (with Dorian playing the slave)
  • Morality Exploration - Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: I desperately want a fic in which Dorian saves Cullen's life through blood magic. Maybe the damage of taking lyrium for so long catches up with him and he starts losing his memory and no conventional healing magic can fix that, but blood magic could ... I love people breaking the one rule they swore never to break for a loved one. Especially since Dorian knows Cullen would be furious if he knew.
  • Meet the Family: I have a lot of Feels about Dorian and his father (see my requests for them) and I'd love for Cullen to meet the guy in Tevinter. I don't think it'd go well. ;)
  • Misunderstandings - Kinky Sex Mistaken for Abuse: especially if another mage witnesses their kinky Templar/mage games
  • Outsider POV - Character Has Entirely the Wrong Idea About What They Witness: similar to the prompt right above, although I'd also love an outsider POV about them in Tevinter. Dorian's father, his Lucerni friends, his political enemies ...
  • Pining - Character A incorrectly assumes that Character B knows that A is pining for them
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Pining - not willing to risk the friendship if rejected
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot
  • Reunion - After Temporary Separation: did I mention that I love Cullen coming to Tevinter? because I do.
  • Touch-Starved Secret
  • Relationship - Each thinks the other wants to keep it secret but neither does
  • Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms - Rough Sex to Stave Off Other Violent Urges

Dragon Age
Dorian Pavus & Halward Pavus
I'm a sucker for difficult father-son relationships with lots of complicated, painful feelings. What fascinates me about their relationship is that - despite the absolutely horrifying shit Halward tried to do to Dorian, I'm not trying to downplay that - they still love each other and care about each other. Dorian still calls his father "a good man" and Halward does seem genuinely interested in reconciling, even if he might well still think that he was doing the right thing to "help" Dorian. What makes their relationship so heartbreaking, to me, is precisely the fact that Dorian loved and admired and respected his father, that he got much of his goodness and his sense of morals from his father, and I'd love to see that explored more.
I am not interested in fics that paint Halward as a cardboard villain or insist that Dorian should simply never talk to him again. I don't think their relationship will ever recover entirely from what Halward did, but I am interested in seeing them actually interact and trying to find some common ground again. I also don't want to read a fic that focuses on Halward's death, and I'm very interested in canon divergence fics in which he doesn't die during Trespasser so he and Dorian can actually spend more time around each other.
My OTP for Dorian is Cullen/Dorian and if you wanted to include that in any way, I'd be super happy (seeing Cullen and Halward interact would be interesting; I don't think Cullen would feel particularly forgiving if he ever found out about the blood magic thing). If you don't ship them, that's totally fine, too, but I'd rather not read about Dorian in a relationship with someone else, though I'm fine with mentions of him sleeping around in Tevinter.
Requested tropes:
  • Bonding Over Common Enemy: working together politically and bonding over fighting some magister who embodies everything they think is wrong with Tevinter?
  • Family Feels - Daddy Issues
  • Earn Your Happy Ending
  • Politics - Political Machinations: Dorian and his father are probably on the same page about a lot of things, considering that Dorian clearly has some of his morals from his father, so I'd love them working together scheming around Minrathous post-canon. Especially if their personal relationship is still very tense. (Speaking of politics, though, I should mention that I'm super not into passionately anti-slavery!Dorian. Based on what he says in canon, I can see him having more ambiguous feelings about the matter after his time in the south, but I do not see him getting all passionate about the issue or trying to abolish slavery in Tevinter instead of focusing on other issues he might consider more important.)
  • Protection - Character being protected isn't used to it: I'd love to see Dorian saving Halward from getting assassinated. Maybe he refuses to go south when he realises his father is trying to protect him because shit's about to hit the fan.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: canon already mentions how similar they are personality-wise; I'd love to see that expanded on. Both how it helps them understand each other and how it sometimes drives them nuts.
  • Morality Exploration - Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: it's what Halward did in canon (using blood magic to "help" Dorian despite the fact that he hates blood magic) so you could expand a bit more on that; or some other situation in which either of them breaks their code for the other

Fallout: New Vegas
Caesar/Arcade, Lucius/Arcade
These prompts stray much darker than my other fandoms, so don't worry too much about my usual request for happy endings. I'd still rather not read about Arcade's canon death if he's given to Caesar. I'm cool with Caesar dying eventually, though, I'm not too attached to him, but I prefer it being in a verse in which Vulpes got rid of Lanius and Lucius becomes Caesar. I'm not cruel enough to give Arcade to Lanius. ;)
I'm obviously here for sad angsty noncon, but I'm also interested in Legion worldbuilding, in character studies about Arcade, and in confused ambiguous feelings about his situation. Things like occasionally enjoying his discussions with Caesar and hating himself for it. Or maybe he grows somewhat fond of Lucius just because Lucius is a halfway decent person and not a terrifying creep like Vulpes. Maybe he feels guilty about being treated so well compared to other slaves. It's a messed up, horrible situation and I'm certainly not looking for happy fic in which Arcade convinces them all to mend their ways, I just like complicated. :D
To my mind, Arcade/Lucius probably works best if you want to write some accidental feelings developing along with all the hatred and resentment, simply because Lucius is not a fucking monster. I also love Vulpes, that weird creep, so I'm always happy about him showing up.
Requested tropes:
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: all those heated discussions with Caesar. Arcade's one comment about him in canon (about his brilliant mind and charisma and blabla) just makes me want some grudging respect mixed in with all his hatred for the man.
  • Captivity - only one person treats
  • Captivity - Lima Syndrome
  • Dissimilar Characters Geeking Out Together Over A Surprise Shared Interest: again, I'm really interested in the idea of Arcade occasionally enjoying their discussions because he loves a good argument
  • Enemies Forced to Work Together - Needing Help From A Villain To Defeat Another Villain: Arcade is stuck with the Legion and he tries his best not to help them more than they make him, but what if anyone's around who's even worse?
  • Enemies to Lovers - Forced Sex Leads to Feelings: this (and the Lima Syndrome) below might work really well if you go with Lucius/Arcade and the whole rape-by-proxy thing
  • Morality Exploration - Moral Dilemmas + Trying To Be A Good Man: I am so here for what goes on in Arcade's head during his captivity. He risked his life every day travelling with the Courier, and yet when he has a chance to kill Caesar instead of saving his life, he doesn't. Until his eventual canon suicide, he clearly decided to survive, even at the cost of helping people he despises. I'd love to see that explored.
  • Rape By Proxy: Caesar ordering Lucius or Vulpes to rape Arcade, either as punishment if he misbehaves or as "reward" because he was good.
  • sanity slippage: Arcade slowly losing it
  • Slavery - fond owner: sometimes the fact that Caesar genuinely likes him makes it worse
  • Slavery - slave forced to enjoy aspects of their fate: mostly related to the "reward" take on rape by proxy
  • Touch-Starved: Arcade being so lonely and touch-starved that being raped almost feels good at times, simply because someone is touching him
  • Villain Wins

Mass Effect
Male Shepard/Garrus Vakarian

Because I'm very frustrated the games didn't let me romance the characters I wanted to romance most. I adore Shepard's relationship with both Garrus so much: that undying loyalty, will-follow-you-to-the-end-of-the-galaxy friendship, and how much renegade Shepard enables Garrus's darker impulses and how much they just get each other in a way quite possibly nobody else gets them.
I strongly prefer renegade Shepard (who is nicer to his companions/friends) - ruthless and efficient, the end justifies the means, snarky and intimidating, willing to do whatever needs to be done, no matter the cost to himself or to others. Should it come up, I really prefer him sabotaging the genophage cure for that reason because Shepard having to kill two of his friends to do what he thinks is right is such a horrifically great moment in the games. I picked the Spacer/Ruthless backgrounds and vanguard as his class, but I'm not fixated on that, if you want to use something else. Ending-wise, I think for fic a handwavey "the Crucible destroyed the Reapers without destroying the geth, and Shepard is alive" works best. I'd also be super interested in a variation of the Control ending, though, in which Shepard doesn't die while uploading part of himself into a God-AI, simply because the mindfuck of co-existing with an all-powerful AI version of yourself must be incredible. In general, I love stoic and/or angry suffering, so feel free to whump Shepard hard as long as there's a happy-ish ending.
I'm very attached to his default looks and name, so please no custom Shepards. I also ship Shepard/Vega and am totally open to turning this into Shepard/Garrus/Vega, should you feel like writing that. I love pretty much all the other companions and am happy to read about them. My other faves are Zaeed, Legion, Miranda, Jack, Cortez, Mordin, Joker, Grunt, Javik, Samara, Traynor.

Requested tropes:

  • Cultural Differences - Different Attitudes to Sex: maybe related to the fact that Shep is more or less Garrus' superior? Maybe that genuinely bothers Shepard and Garrus doesn't quite get why.
  • Pining - guilt over enjoying friendly hugs/physical closeness too much
  • Pining - not willing to risk the friendship if rejected
  • Cultural Differences - Character A's Attempts at Courting Go Over Character B's Head +Pining - Character A incorrectly assumes that Character B knows that A is pining for them + Misunderstandings - A Thought B Rejected Them But B Only Misunderstood: basically I'm here for them flirting in ways that are really obvious to a turian/human but because they're not that great at reading each other's body language or less familiar with the other culture's norms, the other one just doesn't get it
  • Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound: I do love Shepard almost dying. I'd also be up for Garrus being badly injured and Shepard not handling the idea of losing him well
  • Kink - Loyalty Kink
  • Hurt/Comfort - Rape Recovery: would strongly prefer Shepard being the one who got raped; feel free to include the actual rape as graphically or vaguely as you like
  • Self Sacrifice - Accepting Rape to Protect a Loved One: one possible setup for the Rape Recovery prompt - Shepard being forced to play nice because the Bad Guys have his friends locked up in another room and will kill them if he tries to fight back, stuff like that
  • Hurt/Comfort - Emotional
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships + Pining - Promiscuous Character Sleeps Around Because They Can't Have the One They Really Want: I especially like Shepard sleeping around, possibly with other turians, and Garrus feeling helplessly jealous
  • Sex Tropes - Sparring Leads to Sex
  • Soulbonds - Accidental Soulbond: is this a thing that happens with turians? or is it as weird for Garrus as it is for Shepard?
  • Flirting Under Fire (TV Tropes)
  • Outsider POV - POV Character Knows Other Characters Are In Love Before They Do
  • Confessions - character confesses love due to imminent death but whoops! they're rescued: could be set around the ME3 finale, but any other near-death situation works too
  • Undercover As A Couple - While Mutually Pining
  • Wooing - Alien/Supernatural Courtship Rituals

Rivers of London
Thomas Nightingale/Peter Grant
I love them both so much, individually and together, the different aspects of their relationship, how they both help each other in so many ways and rely on each other. I love that they both have their strengths and weaknesses and despiteone of them obviously being much more powerful and experienced than the other, they clearly need each other. And I'm always interested in anything from Nightingale's past - whether it's pre-war or more recent.
I have a soft spot for Dr Walid, Stephanopoulos and Seawoll, so if you want them to appear as well, that's cool. I firmly headcanon Nightingale as gay, so please nothing about Nightingale being attracted to women because that just wouldn't work for me (though I don't really ship Nightingale/Mellenby either, sorry, I know it's a popular background ship). I also don't ship Peter/Beverley and am generally not a huge fan of the Rivers, so I'd rather they didn't appear. I'm up to date on the books, but I haven't read the comics and am not really interested in them, so I'd rather not receive fic that requires knowledge of the comics.
A lot of these tropes are just variations of "weird magic shit happens", so feel free to play around with that. :D
Requested tropes:
  • Blood Drinking - Turned On By: probably magic-related - maybe some spell or saving the other one requires it? And they're trying to be professional about it, but it's really hot?
  • Ghosts & Hauntings - Haunted Artifacts
  • Dimension Travel - Falling Into Alternate Universe where in an Established Relationship: especially if Peter was still in denial about having a giant crush on his boss
  • First Time - First Time with Another Man: I really like bicurious Peter who never really got around to actually having sex with a man.
  • Time Travel - Falling in love with someone in the past and reuniting in the present: I am desperate for any fic about Peter in the 20s/30s and this trope would work great for that. Peter meeting young Nightingale in the past and falling for him (whether he's already in love with present-day Nightingale or not quite yet) - whether they get together or not, Peter will have to deal with all those feelings when he's back in his own timeline.
  • Magic - Black Magic Rituals
  • Resurrection - By Travelling in the Land of the Dead to get someone back: I'd be good with either of them dying and then being brought back. I do have a special soft spot for Nightingale being utterly badass, but I'd have just as much fun with the Land of the Dead from Peter's POV.
  • Backstory - Pre-Canon One Night Stand: pre-canon or "they hook up that first night when they meet at Covent Garden and only talk about ghosts afterwards". Either way, awkward.
  • Soulbonds - Accidental Soulbond + Soulbonds - As A Result Of Magic + Soulbonds - Sharing Pain: I like soulbonds only happening super rarely so they're both kinda freaked out by the whole thing.
  • Morality Exploration - Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: doing what's right is such a big theme in these books, which makes them the perfect setting for some proper moral dilemmas. I love characters with strong convictions breaking those convictions for the sake of the person they love.
  • Undercover as a Couple
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Male Revan/Canderous Ordo
I love this game so much! I strongly prefer Dark Side Revan, although I'm also fine with a more morally grey version of Revan if that's what you want to write, who's not really interested in this whole binary opposition of good and evil, but just does his own thing. Actually even with Dark Side Revan I prefer Pragmatic Evil and ruthless, power-hungry ambition to Ludicrous Evil and "bwahahaha I kick puppies in my free time for the Evulz". Mostly I'm just not interested in redeemed, saintly Light Side Revan.
Revan/Canderous is just one of those villains-in-love ships I adore: that mix of being horrid to everyone else while loving each other madly. I'm happy with any other characters appearing except for Bastila, who I'm not all that interested in. I especially love HK-47.
Requested tropes:
  • Battle Couple (TV Tropes)
  • Grand Romantic Gesture - Violence Against Others: works for either of them
  • Hero Worship
  • Loyalty - King and Lionheart
  • Loyalty - Kneeling
  • Magic - Sex Magic: inappropriate sex uses of the Force, like Force-choking, Force-bondage, rough pain play combined with Force-healing ... did I mention Force-choking? ;D
  • Mind Control - Consensual Mind Control: making Canderous hallucinate, making him feel Revan's presence in his mind, Revan controlling his body while letting Canderous be aware of what he's doing (I'm fine with dubcon, although I'd prefer if the relationship in itself was consensual/if Canderous basically considered it Revan's right to do whatever he likes with him)
  • Sex Tropes - Physical Fight Leading to Sex
  • Rape as bonding activity for the rapists: Carth works great as a victim, but any random OC (male or female) they have their fun with works too. Revan and Canderous having their fun with someone; Canderous letting Carth or any other captive soldier loose so they can spar and fight and then Canderous fucks him bloody "after giving him a fair fight", Revan watching their games through Canderous' eyes and joining them afterwards to mindfuck the victim a bit more or make them grovel at his feet ...
  • Sex Tropes - Sex in the Blood of their Enemies
  • Soulbonds - Telepathy: Revan staying in touch that way when they're apart, invading Canderous' dreams, commenting on Canderous' actions or thoughts, whispering into his brain when Canderous is jerking off or fucking someone else
  • Telepathy - Sharing Dreams
  • Villain Wins: I'm always here for Revan ruling the galaxy with Canderous as his general

Vampyr
Jonathan Reid/Geoffrey McCullum
This ship has so many things I love! Antagonism and profound distrust and grudging respect and so much potential to work together reluctantly and grow closer ... I'm easy. :D I did a Not Even Once playthrough and ended up being incredibly frustrated by the game's morality system, where letting awful people go free or saving their life is apparently always the best choice, and I realised that I much prefer a version of Jonathan who's generally a good person and wants to help others, but who can also be rather ruthless and is very willing to get his hands dirty when he thinks someone deserves it. I love that he and Geoffrey are both stubborn people who tend to think they're always right, and I love how much they'll probably always butt heads even once they're closer.
I didn't enjoy the forced romance, so I'd prefer if we could pretend that Jonathan and Elisabeth were simply friends (and tbh thematically I prefer the ending in which she chooses to die to the one where he saves her with the power of love or somesuch). I'd also prefer if Swansea didn't show up (unless it's before his possible in-game death, of course) because I have a hard time justifying turning him in-game. I also prefer Jonathan not turning Geoffrey in-game, simply because I find it more interesting if they have some time to get to know each other better while Geoffrey is still human, but I'm totally up for him turning Geoffrey later on - whether it's a way to save his life against Geoffrey's will, or Geoffrey actually wanting to be turned.

Requested tropes:

  • Blood Drinking - Turned On By
  • Vampires - Character Turned into a Vampire
  • Vampires - You can drink from me: because McCullum grudgingly letting Jonathan drink from him is both hot and the biggest trust kink ever
  • Rescue - Character perceived as weaker saves the day: I generally need more of McCullum saving Jonathan's life
  • Hurt/Comfort - Hurt character tries to reject help + Hurt/Comfort - Hurt character needs to be carried + Hurt/Comfort - grudging acceptance of comfort: McCullum being very bad at accepting help from a leech
  • In Denial - Repressed attraction: whether because of internalised homophobia or because of the whole vampire/hunter thing. Or both!
  • Telepathy - Sudden Telepathic Bond: as a side effect of Jonathan turning McCullum - I doubt McCullum would appreciate it (at first) - if you go with a scenario in which Jonathan turns him before they're all that close, maybe the bond makes them realise they're attracted to each other/have some more serious feelings for each other
  • Sex Tropes - Verbal Fight Leading to Sex
  • Sudden Realization - A's Near Death Experience Makes B Realize Feelings for A
  • Sudden Realization - After A Demonstrates How Well They Understand B: I have a thing for them getting to know each other really well, and Jonathan especially enjoying that McCullum is the only person in his life he doesn't have to pretend with
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot
  • Touch-Starved
  • Touch-Starved - Finding Excuses for Brief/Apparently-Casual Touches: especially here for touch-starved Jonathan
  • Undercover as a Couple: at some kind of gentlemen's club, or maybe a big party for vampires and their human lovers/pets ... bonus if they're really bad at being undercover and it turns into a bloodbath

And that's it! Thanks for writing for me and I hope that some of my likes and prompts inspire you, dear author. I'm looking forward to reading whatever you come up with. :)

Thanks!
