Summary: Eric watches Godric fall asleep at dawn.
Author’s note: This is
srmarybadass ’s fault for making me realise that Godric looks like a kitten. Here we go for sleepy kitty!Godric. (Yes, it‘s exactly as pointless as it sounds. Do not read if you want something profound.) Written in 20 minutes at 4am, if that’s an excuse.
For comparison (and I shamelessly stole these pictures from
srmarybadass . ^^)

The coffin closed with a dull thump, leaving both vampires in complete darkness. It would have seemed physically impossible to fit two bodies into the narrow box, but Godric and Eric always managed, with Godric’s tiny body curling up in Eric’s arms.
The sun hadn’t started to rise yet, but Godric was already sleepy. It had been a long night, passionate and unrestrained, filled with so much blood and sex that even the two usually insatiable vampires were exhausted.
Godric made a content little noise in the back of his throat when he settled against Eric’s broad chest, his body safely enfolded in the Viking’s muscular arms. It wasn’t a moan, nor a sigh, but - as Eric’s sleepy brain realised in surprise - a purr. Godric was actually purring in his arms.
And as odd as it sounded, his maker did indeed resemble a kitten in moments like these. Beautiful beyond words, his long, soft hair a silent invitation to caress him, his eyes too knowing for his face … snuggling like a kitten on a warm lap when it was in the mood, known to bite and scratch occasionally on a whim. A wildcat that had honoured Eric to be its companion.
Eric chuckled, and the vibration of his chest disturbed Godric, who had just been about to fall asleep. He grumbled wordlessly, and the hand that was resting on Eric’s bare chest tweaked a nipple in silent chastisement.
Eric fell silent, but the smile stayed on his face, even when sleep overcame him as well. He knew that, unlike a cat, Godric worshiped Eric as much as Eric worshiped him.
