Srsly, decent tv writers can generally tell who's going to be well-liked. And killing a character that's going to be popular is just plain idiotic.
Even tv shows that aren't about the supernatural bring chars back from the dead!
Eh, he's connected to Sookie, now. And maybe he'll be rocking that amnesia thing in a few seasons. Ooh, he could have dreams/visions/flashbacks to Godric and not be able to understand them and get all woobie and confused 'cause he's amnesia!Eric.
