What has been seen cannot be unseen

Almost a month since my last entry, which was very short. No, I am not dead or suddenly less of an internet addict. But I have no fic to show because of my incredible lack of creativity at the moment; uni and loads of exams have been keeping me busy, and my internet time has been spent drooling at the probably most awesome German national team in the history of football. I've been wanting to do a huge picspam of them for weeks, but how am I suppose to choosed from those hundreds and thousands of pictures of fun and joy and epicness? And now the World Cup has been over for a week and I still haven't posted a picspam. I won't do it now either because I have an exam tomorrow and should sleep now. But there's one thing someone pointed out in one of the comms today, and it needs to be shared ...

All right, admittedly a more harmless version of Aldo Raine, but still ... the moustache? The sprawl? I just can't unsee it ... *cries*
Btw, Ballack only wears that stupid outfit for some ad he did years ago. I hope. ;)

Until I find time for a proper post ... have a little macro to expand your vocabulary ...

...another one for the obligatory 300 joke ...

... and while Bastian Schweinsteiger is probably God, he can still fail:

Okay, I shouldn't call him God, because that title is reserved for Miro Klose:

Oh, damn, now that I got started, I have to post another two or three pretty pics:

Oh, and speaking of Marcell Jansen, the beauty on the right ...

Damn, before I get started on a huge picspam ... I will stop right away and go to bed. Wish me luck for my exam tomorrow. And I hope I made you look forward to more pictures, because even if you don't give a damn about football, these guys make models look ugly. ;)

[I found the macros on the internet, somewhere, I have no idea who made them, so I  can't really credit anyone, sorry.]

The Miro shot and the lovely, arrogant pug-nosed player beneath him, who would look absolutely stunning in an SS uniform. That pic is just screaming to be PhotoShopped.

Haha, I was thinking exactly the same when I saw that picture. It's funny, because that guy (Manuel Neuer, our awesome goalie) usually looks like the nicest, sweetest, most adorable person ever (that's also him on the black/white picture right after the one where he wears black). I like to imagine Miro, with his delicate face and his startling blue eyes and his always worried, sad expression in an SS-uniform, and laugh at the irony of him having Polish origins. ;)

Have you seen [livejournal.com profile] redbaroness2's WM picspam? Plenty of Neuer in there. I don't know whether to call him an awesome goalie or not: he did let in that Spanish goal. Perhaps that downgrades him from perfect to merely awesome?
I should find that clip of Klose doing backflips mid-match.

All the Danzig Corridor stuff makes it rather confusing to determine whether someone who is Polish now would have been Polish pre-WWI when he would have been born to be put in an SS uniform. The Richthofens, for example, were Silesians so they are (now) technically Polish. That's my useless technicality of the day...

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't think I've seen it, but I should have a look. Sure, Neuer isn't perfect ... yet. I think people are forgetting that he's 24 - most national teams have goalies in their 30s, with ten years more experience; Lehmann and Kahn were in their 30s when they rocked their respective World Cups. For the moment he might be only awesome ... but I'm getting all excited just thinking of how much of a genius he's going to be in four or eight years.

Miro's flips ... I'm so happy he did one. :D World Cups without Klose will be so ... disappointing.

Well, as far as I know, Miro's father is German (hence the German last name), but his mother is Polish. I mean, he has a Polish first name and is fluent in Polish, so he's not just "German from a region that just happens to be in Poland today". I think it's pretty much the same for Lukas Podolski.
Oh, and please photoshop that for us. ^^

BTW, that icon of yours is the perfect combination of two great kinks: Heydrich kink and finger kink. Which makes it epically perfect.

YAAAYYY! I knew I could count on you to respond to this post. ;-) The more photoshopping of handsome footballers in SS uniforms you can do the better. BTW, I keep forgetting to ask you, have you seen all the Hitler/Fegelein Downfall parodies?

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)

BTW, did you receive my e-mail? I had a couple of attachments to it, so I wasn't sure it would go through to your university address. Let me know.

[identity profile] machiavelli-imp.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
I received it at the gmail address but not the physics one. I don't think it was an attachment problem: I've sent and received several MB files from both addresses. Thanks for the lovely Heydrich pictures!

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)

I'm glad you got the pics okay. I eagerly await some icons and wallpaper! ;-)

BTW, I haven't forgotten your request for better screencaps of our boy Thomas from Untergang. I just haven't gotten around to watching it since I torrented it. If it's good quality, I'll definitely make them for you!

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)

All I know is that goalie needs to be in an SS uniform. Immediately. Miro looks a bit like a more handsome version of Adrian Brody to me--so I'm afraid I'm more likely to see him with a yellow star bottoming to our SS officer. Which would be rather hot. ;-)

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Naaah, that's just too cliché, to give the poor Polish guy a yellow star. For me Miro is THE guy to put in an SS-uniform. Probably because I know that our goalie is a big, cute snuggler who just happens to look arrogant on the first picture you saw of him. He belongs in an SS-Junkerschule, if anything. With Miro as instructor. Or something. Guh.

"He belongs in an SS-Junkerschule, if anything. With Miro as instructor. Or something. Guh."

GUUUUHHHHNNNNFFFFF! ;-D

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I just love it when my words provoke this reaction. ;)

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)

I think an imaginary slash universe of footballer SS men would be absolutely divine. I would worship that universe. ;-)

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
... I will pretend that Nariel and I did not come up with a huge AU last week in which we pretty much transported our dearest footballers in AU!post-war!Heydrich-reigned!Third-Reich ...

I am so ashamed. God, would they disapprove of me.

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)

Omigod. Publish, publish, publish, publish, publish. I must see this.

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
It's too insane to be written, let alone published. Even though it would include all the necessary OTPs (Miro/Poldi, with added teacher/student-dynamics; Schweinsteiger/Lahm with their bromance; and Arne Friedrich/Manuel Neuer for the mind-blowing fluff). Or something. Oh God, I'm not talking about this. I shouldn't be.

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)

You are, and you should be. ;-D

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
It doesn't have Manu/Miro anyway. :P

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)

Damn. Still.... ;-)
