Almost a month since my last entry, which was very short. No, I am not dead or suddenly less of an internet addict. But I have no fic to show because of my incredible lack of creativity at the moment; uni and loads of exams have been keeping me busy, and my internet time has been spent drooling at the probably most awesome German national team in the history of football. I've been wanting to do a huge picspam of them for weeks, but how am I suppose to choosed from those hundreds and thousands of pictures of fun and joy and epicness? And now the World Cup has been over for a week and I still haven't posted a picspam. I won't do it now either because I have an exam tomorrow and should sleep now. But there's one thing someone pointed out in one of the comms today, and it needs to be shared ...






All right, admittedly a more harmless version of Aldo Raine, but still ... the moustache? The sprawl? I just can't unsee it ... *cries*

Hahaharofl, "Müllered" I die laughing, really XD I can somehow hear Ashton Kutcher in my head calling "You just got Müllered!" and it's making me worry about my current mental state...

But none of that now! How come there is sooooo much pretty is the German team and almost none in the Swedish, hmm? All we got is...never mind...I don't even watch Swedish fotball...

How come that they are not only gorgeous, but also amazing football players? That's just too goot to be true. ;) Anyway, you guys have ASkars, who might not play football, but who's at least hot as hell. ^^ Still, he doesn't help when you want to motivate yourself to watch football.

Haha, I was thinking exactly the same when I saw that picture. It's funny, because that guy (Manuel Neuer, our awesome goalie) usually looks like the nicest, sweetest, most adorable person ever (that's also him on the black/white picture right after the one where he wears black). I like to imagine Miro, with his delicate face and his startling blue eyes and his always worried, sad expression in an SS-uniform, and laugh at the irony of him having Polish origins. ;)

Have you seen redbaroness2's WM picspam? Plenty of Neuer in there. I don't know whether to call him an awesome goalie or not: he did let in that Spanish goal. Perhaps that downgrades him from perfect to merely awesome?
I should find that clip of Klose doing backflips mid-match.

All the Danzig Corridor stuff makes it rather confusing to determine whether someone who is Polish now would have been Polish pre-WWI when he would have been born to be put in an SS uniform. The Richthofens, for example, were Silesians so they are (now) technically Polish. That's my useless technicality of the day...

All I know is that goalie needs to be in an SS uniform. Immediately. Miro looks a bit like a more handsome version of Adrian Brody to me--so I'm afraid I'm more likely to see him with a yellow star bottoming to our SS officer. Which would be rather hot. ;-)

I was rooting so hard for Germany you have no idea. The pub was deserted when I went to watch the match (because English fans are poor losers and once we got knocked out interest swiftly decline, pah!) with my bro and my dad and we had this giant television all to ourselves and I was so, so sure they were going to make it and then those bloody Spanish bastards scored and it was NOT GOOD and there was much DROWNING OF SORROWS.

Sorry to hear about the creativity shortage. I know how you feel! :(

Schweinsteiger is fucking amazing. I can't believe how they snobbed him for the Best Player award. It was SO obvious they didn't want to give it to a German as well after Müller won both Topscorer and Best Young Player. :(

Yay for people rooting for Germany! I have no idea what happened in the Spain game. Was it because Müller wasn't there? Was it because they were scared? I just don't know. If they had played properly against Spain, the way they played against England and Argentine, Spain with its pathetic 1:0-victories and its boring football could have gone home. :/

Hahaha! Oh dear, you know I was actually addicted to Olympics Slash for a little while back in 2008. I'd never judge football slash...though I have no idea how you'd go about it! (RPS, the writing of, is all Greek to me!)

I think it was a confidence thing, definitely. If they'd beat Spain they'd have gone on to win it, no question. They were just too tentative, but I can understand that. Spain are bloody boring to watch. I wish it had gone to penalties, think Germany could have toasted them there too.

Bastian is hilarious. I have so many silly pictures of him, although I really love the new, serious Bastian. I still have Poldi and Müller for the hilariousness. (Srsly, Müller? He makes me laugh tears.)

Hey, I had no idea you care for football! I usually don't, but this time I watched part of the Cup solely out of the desire to root for Germany :) Didn't really think about the personal qualities of the players, but now as you've posted the piccies... they do look pretty good!

And good luck with the exam! (oh dear, do the exams last all summer? do you get any vacation?)

I think football is a wonderful game, but my problem is that I can't root for any club. I think it's stupid. I love certain players, but why on earth should I support this or that club independently from the players, trainers etc.? I just don't get it. So national teams are the only way for me to enjoy football, especially since Germany just has the most awesome players. ^^ I can't believe I have to wait two years for the bloody European Championship. :(

I didn't know you watched the World Cup as well. But if you did ... I'd expect you to be all over Schweinsteiger. Nariel actually decided to share Heydrich's nickname "blonde Bestie" with him ...


Thanks, my exam today went really well. :D And no, the exams don't last all summer. I have one exam left on Thursday, and then I'm on holidays. I also have to write a term paper of about 15 pages, but I only have to hand it in in October (before the beginning of the next term), so I have some time to do that. ^^

Anyway, how are you doing? I've been meaning to comment on your LJ entries, but recently I never really knew what to say. ;) Oh, and do you know Tim Minchin? He's an Australian singer and comedian, probably not your kind of music ... but he's done quite a few songs that are shamelessly bashing religion, I thought you might like that. ^^

Slightly, but it's never too late to look at Jansen being pretty.
Is he? A silly blabbermouth? I think I've only seen one interview with him, and he seemed fairly normal in that one ... but maybe I was distracted by him cuddling Khedira while he was talking. ;) Also, since I talk absurdly fast myself, I don't mind people who don't speak slowly. ;)

I have a few more pictures from that photoshoot. He looks gorgeous there (yes, minus the shoes). Kinda reminded me of David Bowie, but sexier.
