Almost a month since my last entry, which was very short. No, I am not dead or suddenly less of an internet addict. But I have no fic to show because of my incredible lack of creativity at the moment; uni and loads of exams have been keeping me busy, and my internet time has been spent drooling at the probably most awesome German national team in the history of football. I've been wanting to do a huge picspam of them for weeks, but how am I suppose to choosed from those hundreds and thousands of pictures of fun and joy and epicness? And now the World Cup has been over for a week and I still haven't posted a picspam. I won't do it now either because I have an exam tomorrow and should sleep now. But there's one thing someone pointed out in one of the comms today, and it needs to be shared ...






All right, admittedly a more harmless version of Aldo Raine, but still ... the moustache? The sprawl? I just can't unsee it ... *cries*
Btw, Ballack only wears that stupid outfit for some ad he did years ago. I hope. ;)

With exams over, you are more than entitled to let your brain turn to GUUUNNFFYY mush over all the slash pairings you can drum up. Although you'll have a tough time surpassing Podolski & Klose. ;-)

Oh, there are a bunch of other football pairings up there, turning my brain into one big pile of GUNF. That doesn't even make sense, does it? :) I actually have a weird fic idea bouncing up and down in my head, but I know I'll just hate it when I write it down. ;)

... shouldn't that make it MORE angsty? We're talking about one of the professions in which being gay (at least openly) is apparently the most unacceptable thing ever. At least those who want more than fumbling in the locker room will definitely angst about it.

It's just that you've done so many angsty fics with Landa/Hellstrom, Cromwell/Cranmer, Blackwood/Coward, et al. These boys worked so hard towards the World Cup. They deserve a light-hearted, porny romp without wringing their hands and moaning over what a terrible, forbidden thing they're doing or how twisted and fucked up their relationship is. ;-D

Yeah, but light-hearted, porny romps are so boring to write. Most of the time they're also boring to read. I mean, sure, we all like to imagine that all these hot men have sweaty orgies after each match ... but as much as I like thinking about that, I don't want to write it. And these boys have so much angst potential it's not even funny anymore. ;) (Really? Miro Klose always looks like he is the most heart-broken, most depressed person in the world. He only smiles when he a) scores, or b) snuggles Podolski, or, best of all, c) snuggles Podolski after scoring. He doesn't even smile when he's with his kids. Angst. Lots of it.)

Exactly. You're sooo German because you're overdosing on angst. It's all Struelpeter's (sp??) fault. I don't know how you children get to the age of consent without killing themselves first after all those dark, depressing, angsty moral tales

And when you put it as you did in this last comment of yours, it does appear that über-angsty angst is the best way to go. Perfect choice of icon, BTW. ;-)

Struwelpeter, yeah. I don't even think my parents ever read that story to me when I was a kid. But I generally think it's important to get dark and angsty stuff through to kids. There's nothing worse than these parents who want to 'protect' their kids from the real world by hiding it from them. And I think the real world is a lot more scary than Struwelpeter. ;) Whatever, but you're right, the angsting is somehow a logical consequence of spending too much time with German history and literature. All my favourite (German) authors have this something very brooding about them. Whatever. I'm rambling.

I love my "Hans angsting in bed"-icon. ;) I'd also want to write angsty football-RPS because most fic out there is fluffy, OOC, unrealistic crap. Or it's just porn. Which is cool too, but as I said not so much fun to write. GUNF, I read an amazing fisting fic on the kink meme recently. Didn't care about the players, but the fic (or rather the porn) was amazing.

Oh, I LOVE German angst, because in truth it's very close to Jewish angst, in the way that German, Yiddish and Hebrew are all interrelated. And I couldn't agree with you more that children are far too protected, and needlessly so. I remember that one of my favorite bedtime stories as a child was Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves. The version my father read to me was completely uncensored in all its gory glory, with graphic descriptions of the hacked-up bodies on the walls of the cave, etc. But then again, I suppose it's debatable as to how I turned out in the end. ;-)

Hehe, I don't even remember gory details from stories my parents told me. I just remember that my father read all of Dumas' The Three Musketeers to me when I was a kid, but I don't think it was very gory. I don't even remember, so apparently that (and all the other books and stories) didn't leave horrible marks on my poor innocent soul.

I suppose it's debatable as to how I turned out in the end. ;-)
Haha, that reminds me of what happens when I tell people that I started reading de Sade when I was 14 or so. They usually look at me and say, "duh, well look at what happened to yourself." ;)

There is no fic, don't get your hopes up. It's just that some day, while I was innocently (sorta) thinking about Heydrich, the random thought popped up that Heydrich is definitely the kind of person to fist people. It's just my personal head canon that Heydrich has a fisting kink, that's all.
But the fic is hot, too. Even without Heydrich. I promise.

Hey, I'm not Bavarian. No dirndles have ever been anywhere near me. Don't insult me here. :P (Don't worry, I'm not offended, just the usualy Germans-vs-Bavarians-bitching. Yuck, dirndles.) But apart from that the characterisation of bb!Linn is fitting. It wasn't Heydrich and Schellchen back then, but the general mindset ... fits. ;D
And I am very capable of having non-sexual thoughts about Heydrich. You know, the "omfg stop being like me, Heydrich!"-thoughts. ;)
