What has been seen cannot be unseen

Almost a month since my last entry, which was very short. No, I am not dead or suddenly less of an internet addict. But I have no fic to show because of my incredible lack of creativity at the moment; uni and loads of exams have been keeping me busy, and my internet time has been spent drooling at the probably most awesome German national team in the history of football. I've been wanting to do a huge picspam of them for weeks, but how am I suppose to choosed from those hundreds and thousands of pictures of fun and joy and epicness? And now the World Cup has been over for a week and I still haven't posted a picspam. I won't do it now either because I have an exam tomorrow and should sleep now. But there's one thing someone pointed out in one of the comms today, and it needs to be shared ...

All right, admittedly a more harmless version of Aldo Raine, but still ... the moustache? The sprawl? I just can't unsee it ... *cries*
Btw, Ballack only wears that stupid outfit for some ad he did years ago. I hope. ;)

Until I find time for a proper post ... have a little macro to expand your vocabulary ...

...another one for the obligatory 300 joke ...

... and while Bastian Schweinsteiger is probably God, he can still fail:

Okay, I shouldn't call him God, because that title is reserved for Miro Klose:

Oh, damn, now that I got started, I have to post another two or three pretty pics:

Oh, and speaking of Marcell Jansen, the beauty on the right ...

Damn, before I get started on a huge picspam ... I will stop right away and go to bed. Wish me luck for my exam tomorrow. And I hope I made you look forward to more pictures, because even if you don't give a damn about football, these guys make models look ugly. ;)

[I found the macros on the internet, somewhere, I have no idea who made them, so I  can't really credit anyone, sorry.]

I think football is a wonderful game, but my problem is that I can't root for any club. I think it's stupid. I love certain players, but why on earth should I support this or that club independently from the players, trainers etc.? I just don't get it. So national teams are the only way for me to enjoy football, especially since Germany just has the most awesome players. ^^ I can't believe I have to wait two years for the bloody European Championship. :(

I didn't know you watched the World Cup as well. But if you did ... I'd expect you to be all over Schweinsteiger. Nariel actually decided to share Heydrich's nickname "blonde Bestie" with him ...

Thanks, my exam today went really well. :D And no, the exams don't last all summer. I have one exam left on Thursday, and then I'm on holidays. I also have to write a term paper of about 15 pages, but I only have to hand it in in October (before the beginning of the next term), so I have some time to do that. ^^

Anyway, how are you doing? I've been meaning to comment on your LJ entries, but recently I never really knew what to say. ;) Oh, and do you know Tim Minchin? He's an Australian singer and comedian, probably not your kind of music ... but he's done quite a few songs that are shamelessly bashing religion, I thought you might like that. ^^

Well, I'm kinda new to sports fandom, last time I did it was in high school when I was obsessed with ice hockey. Oh and I was into pro-wrestling for a while, but it's not really a sport. I've noticed Schweinsteiger as a good player, but I'd have to see more of him in order to appreciate him as a person. I see he has a personal site http://www.bastian-schweinsteiger.de/ with some rather inspiring photos... and ooooooh, this picture is lovely! could be turned into a motivational poster right away!

Nope, never heard of Tim Minchin, should have a look...

The summer here is mostly uneventful. Apart from the other stuff mentioned in LJ, already watched half of Blackadder (will post my impressions when I'll finish with it), slowly working on my Rammstein RPF fic which took an (un)expected turn from a horror/mystery to a crackfic/comedy ;) but for the time being there's nothing worthy to show off.

He's an amazing player, and I like how he is so much more serious now than at the last World Cup (where he was, with Podolski, kinda the funny youngster who played pranks and fooled around). Not so sure I generally like him as a person, I always tend to think less of celebrities, especially football players, with model girlfriends ... it just looks so pathetic and cliché.
Yep, he has many pictures like that which are very motivational. And he has the wonderful habit of undressing after matches ... the others should definitely imitate him. ^^

Have a look at this:

If you like him, I can send you more. ^^

At least you are working on some fic or another, which is more than I can say about myself. ;) And Rammstein crackfic sounds ... cracky? ;)

I've always taken the easy way out and watched individual rather than team sports. I don't understand the idea that people have to support the club where they live. It looks like the modern, watered-down, shortsighted version of patriotism to me.

Germany just has the most awesome players
And the best-looking players. ;) It shouldn't be a surprise to you that I supported them in the Germany-Australia match, which made me very unpopular in the office the next morning.

Nariel actually decided to share Heydrich's nickname "blonde Bestie" with him ...
*stares*
*gapes*
Heydrich has risen from the grave?? The similarities between him and Bastian scare me slightly: the narrow eyes, the broad nose (which is admittedly not the same in profile), the thin lips, that muscular pale skin. It's a very bony, cruel face. I bet if someone gave Bastian a more severe haircut he'd have the high brow as well. His hands aren't as elegant as Heydrich's (that distinction evidently went to Rainer Schuettler) but they're not bad:

I'm getting a bit too excited about this...

Well, not really. The watered-down version of patriotism is supporting your national team, which I can perfectly understand. But a club? I just don't get it. Then again, it's not like I'm a sports freak or anything. I'll just stalk my favourite players a bit, no matter where they play. ;)

And the best-looking players. ;) It shouldn't be a surprise to you that I supported them in the Germany-Australia match, which made me very unpopular in the office the next morning.
Haha, I imagine. ^^ I actually did think of all those poor Australians who probably felt like shit after that match. ;) But, yes, definitely the best-looking players. I don't get why everyone is drooling at Spain and their boring boytoys. And even if you want boys instead of men, Marcell Jansen alone is prettier than the entire Spanish team.

I don't even think that Schweini and Heydrich really look similar, but there's just something about the general severe strength of his features and this ... well, Blonde-Bestie-aura that made me think of Heydrich. Bastian just exudes the same strength and dominance. I can hardly believe that this is the same person as the silly, goofy boy who spent the WC 2006 fooling around with Poldi. Anyway, I do understand your excitement. I'm still pissed off that he didn't get the award for the best player of the World Cup. *grumble*
