What has been seen cannot be unseen

Almost a month since my last entry, which was very short. No, I am not dead or suddenly less of an internet addict. But I have no fic to show because of my incredible lack of creativity at the moment; uni and loads of exams have been keeping me busy, and my internet time has been spent drooling at the probably most awesome German national team in the history of football. I've been wanting to do a huge picspam of them for weeks, but how am I suppose to choosed from those hundreds and thousands of pictures of fun and joy and epicness? And now the World Cup has been over for a week and I still haven't posted a picspam. I won't do it now either because I have an exam tomorrow and should sleep now. But there's one thing someone pointed out in one of the comms today, and it needs to be shared ...

All right, admittedly a more harmless version of Aldo Raine, but still ... the moustache? The sprawl? I just can't unsee it ... *cries*
Btw, Ballack only wears that stupid outfit for some ad he did years ago. I hope. ;)

Until I find time for a proper post ... have a little macro to expand your vocabulary ...

...another one for the obligatory 300 joke ...

... and while Bastian Schweinsteiger is probably God, he can still fail:

Okay, I shouldn't call him God, because that title is reserved for Miro Klose:

Oh, damn, now that I got started, I have to post another two or three pretty pics:

Oh, and speaking of Marcell Jansen, the beauty on the right ...

Damn, before I get started on a huge picspam ... I will stop right away and go to bed. Wish me luck for my exam tomorrow. And I hope I made you look forward to more pictures, because even if you don't give a damn about football, these guys make models look ugly. ;)

[I found the macros on the internet, somewhere, I have no idea who made them, so I  can't really credit anyone, sorry.]

I liked it, but it felt a bit ... I don't know, it felt like the plot wasn't really moving on. They tied up a few loose ends (Lorena, getting Sookie, Tara and Bill away from Russell, getting rid of the Magister and bringing Pam back), but nothing really new happened, except for the silly faerie stuff. There was a general lack of Russell, although the scene with the Magister was fun. And I want Franklin back, damn it. But, yeah, overall it juts felt like a filler episode, not much to like, not much to dislike. Tara gets more annoying with every episode. :/ But at least Lorena is gone, that's something to be happy about. ^^
Am I the only one who ships Sam/Tommy? ;)

Franklin had better come back since I've just nudged viceindustrious into Season 3 with a Franklin icon as bait. She's already been devastated by the loss of Cromwell! During the last episode I kept telling my son, "well, he can't be dead, I think his head has to be cut off, not just crushed, I'm sure he's healing himself as we speak," etc., etc, really just trying to reassure myself. But I still believe he'll suddenly pop up again.

I found this week's episode dragged a bit as well, was not as good as last week's, with the exception of Lorena being reduced to pulp. But all of a sudden we're back to Jason's latest girlcrush and poor old Lafayette/Jesus are abandoned. WTF? I am starting to like the werewolves, but now when they detract from Russell, who is just so much fun to watch.

No, you are NOT the only one who ships Sam/Tommy!! ;-) From the looks of it, even the producers do. Maybe they can be lured into a threesome with Bill since there's still some unfinished business between Bill/Sam.

Who wasn't devastated by what they did to poor Cromwell? :) I'm fairly sure Franklin will be back, there's no way they killed him off so easily. Also, apparently he plays a larger role in the books, so he can't be dead yet. They probably just wait a few episodes to make it an even bigger surprise for Tara (and the stupid part of the audience) when he comes back.

I was so happy to see Lorena go. Although I am kinda disappointed that it wasn't Eric who killed her. *grumble* Jason's weird girlcrush is really getting annoying. She's just so boring. It's just so Sue-ish, this "Oh my god, I like you, Jason, but we can't be together, because I'm somehow special, but I can't tell you why." Well, don't tell me why, because I don't care. -.-

Russell is hilarious. I loved his reaction when they went to get Sookie and she did this hand-flash-thing (it's too late for proper descriptions) to the guy who wanted to take her, and Russell starts laughing hysterically and just says, "Fantastic!" Gotta love the guy.

Haha, true. All of it. Pity they're ignoring Bill/Sam right now. I want more of Sam's hilarious sex dreams. How can slash between two relatively hot guys be so unsexy? ^^

All I know is Franklin had better come back soon, look how downhill this last episode went without him!

I'm sick of all the bimbos Jason gets involved with, with the exception of the hippie chick that got murdered in the first season, she seemed like she could have whipped his arse in line. And they didn't do ANYTHING with Lafayette! Lately it hasn't just been Jesus that's made him more interesting, but also some of them exchanges he's had with Eric. I could ship those two very easily. But then I just want Eric to have sex with all the men in this show. Even Andy. Ha-ha, not really. Andy/Jason are the cute couple that isn't really a turn-on.

I loved Russell's laugh, too. The man is just delightful. Wish he wasn't marrying the vamp queen, but I can't wait to see Talbot throw a hissy fit over the impending nuptials. ;-)

We need some Sam/Tommy incest. I wouldn't even mind if it was angsty oh-we're-two-lonely-brothers-who-hate-our-parents-and-no-one-else-in-the-world-will-ever-understand-us-so-we'll-just-fuck-each-other incest. I also agree with you about Sam's silly sex dreams, which can't help being funny rather than hot! Maybe it's the fact that they seem such an unlikely pair were it not for the blood exchange.

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't even think Talbot will mind. The gay vampire king marrying the lesbian vampire queen? Big deal. ;) But, yeah, I wish he'd just kill her or get rid of her somehow. And I do hope that Eric won't try to get his revenge too soon, Russell and Eric together are just too enjoyable.

I think what they were trying to show is that Sam is (supposed to be) straight, so fantasies about another man are not exactly something normal for him. So when he does dream about a man, due to the blood exchange, he kinda fills the blank with what the silly gay stereotypes he might have in his head. Does that make sense to you? It does to me, but ... yeah, usual late night lack of eloquence.

Btw, I posted a couple of nice pictures yesterday or so, which you might appreciate. ;) Just saying.

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-08-07 04:39 am (UTC)(link)

Good point. I forgot that the vampire queen is a lesbian. Maybe she and Pam should get together. Although I really have no interest whatsoever in lesbian slash. It just doesn't do it for me.

Eric cannot possibly kill Russell until they've had their super-hot hate-fuck.

I've left a comment for both your recent posts. Thanks much for the picspam, especially the slashy pics. ;-)

Yes, they've made Sam ostensibly straight in his dreams--fucking cowards. NO ONE IN THIS ENTIRE SHOW IS STRAIGHT, WHEN WILL THE PRODUCERS WAKE UP TO THIS FACT AND STOP TEASING US??? GAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2010-08-07 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yuck, femslash. The only thing that turns me off even more than het. It's just ... more what I'd read if I never want to think of sex again. ;)

It's not even about that. Just their general interaction is so much fun, and Russell is fun, and I want him to stick around for a few seasons. Also, Talbot would be heart-broken. We can't have that.

Thanks. ^^ I didn't want to nag you about leaving me comments, I just thought it would be a pity if you missed out on the pictures. Especially since you seemed to like Neuer so much. ^^

I actually want more of Sam's dreams ... they're possibly the most hilarious thing that ever happened in this show, right after Franklin's "Look how fast I can type motherfucker."

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 06:20 am (UTC)(link)

"It's just ... more what I'd read if I never want to think of sex again." ROFL! I feel EXACTLY the same way--and I've actually had sex with women!!!

The only fem-slash story I've ever read (and enjoyed) was the crack fic "The One Where They All Have Breasts" in which Landa & Hellstrom find themselves in female bodies. It's wonderful because they're still completely themselves, and their reactions to this sudden change are so perfectly in character. So even though they're both women in it, it's still Landa/Hellstrom slash. And Dieterchen is so cute because he's so uncomfortable with it and doesn't know what to do, while Landa is his usual, relaxed, masterful self.

I agree I want Russell around for a nice, long time.

Never hesitate to let me know when you've posted hot pics. I'm always happy to receive such news. ;-)

Yes!! Franklin's i-Phone typing scene! probably the funniest scene EVER. And Sam's gay dreams are just so cute. :-)

Genderbender stories ... god, I can't even begin to express how much I hate those. I don't care how cracky it is, it just annoys me. I don't know if you feel the same way, but it always makes me sad when someone takes the time to write about a pairing I love, and I want to be happy about it, but then it turns out the story is badly written, or OOC, or full of some kink that's a big turn-off for me ... It's silly, because I know people don't write for me, but I still think it's a pity. Not to mention that I don't like crack. ;) I just don't find it funny.
I don't know what's up with me, i've been ranting about stuff I hate for two days now. No matter who I talk to, I always end up talking about the things that annoy me most. Sorry. :D

[identity profile] deborahkla.livejournal.com 2010-08-10 01:27 am (UTC)(link)

This particular gender-bender story was well-written, and that always helps any story. As far as crack is concerned, it has to be completely off the wall to the point of being psychedelic. There were a couple of well-written slashcrackfics several months ago that combined Hellstrom, Zoller and I believe Archie and later Landa that I found very entertaining. To me that's how crack should be written. The concept has to be completely wild but in character and decently written.

Sometimes the bad writing does bug me, primarily if the dialogue is off--how could anybody write Landa saying "I wanna..."?--or when it's riddled with bad mispellings, or the possessive apostrophe is used in a plural ("he brought the bag's to the car") or other, similar assualts on punctuation, grammar and spelling. But sometimes when the writer is not working in their native tongue I find the errors very endearing. Like when one friend of mine wrote a fic using "Dryer String" for "Lsundry Line." That I found really lovely.

God, I've seen so much horrific writing in my lifetime I'm almost used to it--and try to avoid it as much as possible. What REALLY bothers me are when I'm editing work by people who are much older and better educated than I am, and they still can't string together a decent sentence. Then I go back to my Grandmother's and mother's old St. Nicholas storybooks from the 1880s through the 1920s with all the letters from children under 12 who wrote better than most adults do today and I get a bit depressed.

Oh, don't apologize. Not to worry, you're just in a moody state lately. I'm entering menopause, but I still occasionally have the standard hormone fluctuations that are often the root of it all. At least it isn't as much like clockwork as it was when I was younger!
