I hate shipping unpopular pairings

Mhm. I want to sign up for asoiaf_exchange (because there can never be too many exchanges, right?), but I have such trouble coming up with prompts that are not about Stannis. Or rather, I can think of prompts that may be interesting, but I know that I'm going to be so very disappointed if someone writes one of those prompts for me and not one of my Stannis prompts. I mean, I'd love to see stuff like that Jon/Aegon AU that keeps going around in my head, or a proper Rhaegar/Lyanna non-con fic (what's up with people romanticising this pairing?), or a sympathetic take on Randyll Tarly, or a fic about the Blackfish's past or his future plans, or about Victarion getting his ass kicked during the Greyjoy rebellion, or about Roose wiggling his way out of the current situation at Winterfell ... Or I want stuff that I know nobody is going to write, like Victarion making Daenerys' dragons turn on her. I don't want to write a prompt that just sound like, "I hate this character, please kill them in an awful way." Even though it would make for an interesting story, in my opinion, it's just kind of a dickish prompt to write. And it's bad enough that all my Stannis prompts include, "please kill Melisandre?"
We're supposed to include at least one popular pairing or character, but the popular pairings or characters either don't interested me at all (Jaime/Brienne, Robb/Jon, Ned/Catelyn, that kind of thing) or there's already so much fic for them that I really don't see why I should waste a fic written just for me on this (I really like SanSan, but I know there will be enough SanSan even without me requesting it). I still have a bit of time to think about this, but in the end it just comes down to me not liking the popular pairings (or at least not being interested enough in them to request fic), to me wanting weird shit that nobody wants to write, and mainly to me wanting to read Stannis fics more than anything else.

And I just saw that one Castle episode in which one guy quotes ASOIAF. "You do not understand, detective. You woke the dragon." He sounded all serious, and there was ominous music in the background. Haha, what a crossover. I love Beckett so much. ^^

Oh, and can anyone explain to me why Chopin only wrote a single piano trio? I love that piano trio so much more than any of his other work. I'm usually not a big fan of Chopin, much of his work is too dreamy for my taste. (Yes, gasp, someone who plays the piano and does not adore Chopin, I know, what a crime.) But that piano trio  ...

Kill Melisandre prompts ... Davos could save drugged Stannis from getting raped. ;) Melisandre could turn against Stannis because she stops thinking he's AA, and Stannis is not amused and kills her. Stannis could win the throne and realise he doesn't need her anymore. Stannis and Davos could kill Melisandre in Supernatural style, like Sam&Dean killed Ruby. Or Melisandre tries to win over Jon and turn against Stannis, and Jon is like, "no way, Stannis is awesome!" ;) Okay, these are not proper prompts, just me dreaming of Melisandre dying. ^^

I have a fic in mind where Stannis moves into the Nightfort as he intended and the place begins to affect him... but then Davos comes back from Rickon-rescue and he'll totally do everything to save him from the Dark Side. Killing off Mel could happen sometime... hey, even Stannis could kill her.

Also, someone should kill Selyse, that woman ruined his life!

That sounds awesome ... as long as Davon manages. ;) But I know that's just me, and I can't deal with bad endings for Stannis.

Well, I actually blame Robert mostly for ruining Stannis' life, but Selyse did her part as well. They never should have married, they were poison for each other.

Haha, that's an interesting way to go about it. I just can't deal with it. It's bad enough that they'll most likely die in canon, I don't need to read about it in fanfic, too. I love it when fanfic makes my heart ache, but I don't want it to make me go like NO NO NO HOW DARE YOU KILL THEM HOW THE FUCKING FUCK JUST NO WAY NO NO NO!!! ;) I'm a wuss, there you go.

Oh, Davos won't die! He survived so much. He managed to keep his head while being totally honourable, that's a good sign. :)

Stannis... well... death isn't so final lately! He can always be raised by Mel, Others or something. Although I really, REALLY do not want UnStannis. It would be scaryyy.

I definitely don't want UnStannis or anything like that. I don't even want Night's King!Stannis, as awesome as that may be. But Stannis turning out to be the bad guy would just be so predictable. I want one of the people who were set up as heroic saviours to be the big bad (mostly Daenerys, her turning evil would be so fucking epic). But the guy who was kind of dickish and unlikeable since the beginning? That would just be dumb. Stannis must be the hero because he doesn't appear heroic. ;)

Or Shireen. Just imagine. Mel trying to sacrifice Shireen, Stannis stroms is, is all "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH", stabnation happens, oh, and Mel's glamor fades and it turns out she's ugly, old, and tattooed. :D

I feel guilty for it, but I'd be almost cool with Stannis sacrificing Shireen ... if only because it would DEFINITELY mean that he needs to remarry to have another child.
But I also love Melisandre turning against Stannis himself, thinking now that Jon or someone is AA, she tries to burn him, but he steps out of the flames and goes like, "Sorry, bitch, you were right *smite*"

I too think Mel will abandon Stannis once she sees Jon is AA (I think AA is not just one person).

Also, Davos could totally be AA too, he was *literally* reborn in smoke and salt on the Blackwater, all the while the comet was still up.

I don't want Jon to be AA. I never wanted stannis to be AA either, because I found the whole business silly, but by now I think it would actually be epic. If only because nobody, not even the most hardcore Stannis fans, would expect that. The text has been screaming at us that Melisandre is wrong, that Stannis isn't AA ... so he should be. ^^

Davos would be cool, too, but it's basically already established that he could never kill someone he loves.

Not sure if it's a requirement, but it is part of the legend of forging Lightbringer. *shrug* Thing with Jon is, he doesn't HAVE a love. I've seen people suggest Ghost, but that doesn't make sense. Jon always goes on about how Ghost is not his friend, but part of himself.

Baw, Davos. Although I'd love to see Stannis' reaction to finding out that his Onion Knight is AA. ,)

Davos (AA) kills Melisandre (Nissa Nissa, because she's obsessed with AA, right? ;)) ... oh, and Stannis is Lightbringer. He turns back to his normal awesomeness after being freed from Melisandre. Yep, that totally makes sense. -.-
