I hope somebody on my f-list is incredibly smart and knows this sort of thing ... Is there any way to authorise anonymous comments on certain posts, but not on the entire journal, or community in this case? I haven't found a way to do this, but maybe I'm just dumb.

The problem is, you have to allow anonymous comments in general in order to have that option. If you don't allow anonymous comments on your journal, then you only have options like "screen comments" or "disable comments" etc.
I finally ended up hosting the comment fic meme on my mod journal rather than on the exchange community itself, and then I just linked to it from the exchange comm. It's maybe not very elegant, but it worked out. But I appreciate the help. ^^
