University Update

Last week I got letters from the two universites I applied to, and I was accepted at both. Yay! That means I can continue my studies next semester (from April on). I'm really relieved. Now I just have to decide which university I want to go to. One of them is much closer to where I live, which is a big advantage, but I don't want to make a decision based solely on the fact that it's more comfortable for me to get up half an hour later in morning. I have about two weeks to decide, and I really hope that I will make the right choice.

I'm not writing much at the moment, unfortunately, with work and what I pretend is a social life taking up my time ... And I have a 100 page translation to do, and since I'll be paid for it I should do it as quickly as possible. So I don't know when you can expect any fanfic updates from me.

I actually wanted to reply to many many mails tonight, but I got distracted by reading fanfics ... I finally decided to watch the Star Wars movies again in the past few days. I was never a big Star Wars fan; I always thought the movies were entertaining, but nothing more. But I wasn't as obsessed with slash yet last time I watched them ... or else I would have turned into a mindless, squeeing Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan fangirl much earlier. I'm still not any more interested in the fandom than before, but that pairing is just perfect. I guess Liam Neeson is just too much for me. No man should be allowed to be that sexy. Unless I can have him. ;) Whatever, I feel like this entry is getting increasingly useless. I should get some sleep.

I'm just considering every option; I guess both have their advantages and their disadvantages. I'm still not sure yet. But unless I find an extremely good reason to choose the one that is farther away I'd rather take the one that is closer. If only because I am so not a morning person.
Oh, and no comment from you on the Star Wars stuff? You really surprise me. I expected either excitement or contempt because I just slash happily without really caring about the fandom. Bad Linn, I know. ;)

Yes, well, you mentioned Obi/Qui, which is really the biggest turn off for me, if only because I find it so incredibly boring. Almost no one ever writes Vader/Palpatine, which is what I slash. It's a bit better now than it was before Revenge of the Sith when only about four people in the world did it (sadly, I'm not exaggerrating), but not by much--and most people still only write six second vignettes.

About four? Still better than with Artemis and Zak. ;) Mhm, I can't stand Anakin (as in I want to smash his head against the wall because he annoys the hell out of me), so I avoid thinking of him. As for Obi and Qui ... I understand how people can find them boring, they're just too perfect. But somehow I got completely obsessed with them. Maybe because I can't imagine anything involving Qui-Gon and slash to be boring. ;)

At least you actually think of Vader as Anakin, unlike the dichotomising masses of dumbass fangirls who insist that Anakin is "liek totally different!" *rolls eyes* Yeah, as in younger and less experienced, not 'wants to give you his babies.' Idiots.

If he is "liek totally different!", then only because Vader is halfway cool and Anakin is an annoying brat. But I know what you mean ... I'm kinda happy I never got really into the Star Wars fandom, it seems to be a place filled with scary people. ;)

Oh, I don't know if you read on my journal, but I did find a disc the other day filled with all sorts of stories written when I was an itty bitty kiddy. There are a few old Zak stories there, some of which I had forgotten I wrote. I can send them to you, if you like, though you must promise never to show them to anyone else ever. They'd need a severe edit before coming into contact with a candle, much less the light of day!

I always read your lj entries, but I'm often too lazy to comment when I don't really have much to say. But of course I'd love to see your old Zak stories! And I promise, they're safe with me. You're only taking the risk of me nagging you until you edit them. *grin*

I know what you mean. I think I'd faint if I looked at stories I wrote years ago. ;) Just send it to me whenever you want. ^^
