Dear RMSE writer,

Thank you for writing for me and having a look at this letter. My letters always get pretty long, but I prefer listing a whole lot of stuff in the hope that my writer likes some of the things I mentioned, rather than only listing two prompts they might hate. Obviously I don't expect you to include every single thing I mention in this letter. I've got some general likes and dislikes listed - those are the important parts, really. They're followed by a list of kinks I like, should you feel inclined to write porn, and some fandom-specific prompts, but if those don't work for you - as long as you include a thing or two that I like and don't include my DNWs, I'm sure I will love whatever you write for me. :D

As a general rule, I enjoy all ratings; I like darker, angstier fic and more light-hearted stories, although neither completely conflictless fluff nor completely bleak darkfic without a ray of hope are quite my thing. I'm always happy about porn, but it's not a must. I like shorter fics and plotty longfic. If you do write porn and you want more smut-related prompts, I've requested most of these ships for Smut Swap before. The fandoms are listed alphabetically. The length of the fandom-specific sections doesn't indicate an order of preference; I just had more ideas and prompts for some of them.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Alexios/Brasidas

I mostly have protagonist!Alexios in mind for this (I see the appeal of Deimos!Alexios, but there's so little fic for this ship that I need to satisfy my protagonist!Alexios needs first ;)). I love his sense of humour, I love how cheerful and arrogant he is at times, I love that he likes to help people but will still tell them they're ridiculous dicks afterwards. I played him as fairly pro-Sparta and genuinely wanting to return home, which I think goes rather well with this ship anyway. I love his banter and his immediate connection with Brasidas (that warehouse fight! *heart eyes*), I love how much they just get each other and trust each other - even though Alexios really has reason enough to mistrust just about anyone he runs into. And since it's absolutely tragic the game didn't let us romance Brasidas, that's clearly what fic is for. :D As for Brasidas, I love how smart and cunning he is, how he thinks outside the box while still being a ruthless fighter when the situation calls for it, and how much he genuinely and openly cares about people who are important to him.

I'm up for setting this at any point during the game - around their first meetings in Korinth, when Alexios is in Sparta, or when they're working together later on - or post-game in a verse in which Brasidas didn't die. Because I'm in denial about that and damn historical accuracy. ;)

While I usually DNW unrequested ships, I'm fine with mentions of 1) Alexios's male canon hookups, 2) Brasidas being married (or widowed) because it's just unlikely that he wouldn't be, although I'd see that more as a practical arrangement than a marriage of love, 3) any erastes/eromenos-style relationships Brasidas might have been in, whether it's him currently having someone under his wing or still being good friends with the guy who, er, "mentored" him years ago. However, I wouldn't want any of those relationships to be more meaningful to them than each other, if that makes sense.

any getting together scenario, set at any point in or after the game, whether it's casual hookups long before they get closer or years of pining before they finally make the first step, or anything in between, though I have a special place in my heart for any kind of friends-with-benefits slowly turning to lovers scenario

fix-it fic for Brasidas's death: Alexios saving his life, Alexios thinking he's dead but Brasidas was captured and Alexios comes to save him, Brasidas being badly injured (I'm fine with longer recoveries, but please have him get well and be able to fight again at the end), or even something like Brasidas dying and Alexios saving him from the underworld (though I'd prefer if Brasidas wasn't dead and absent for 90% of the fic)
post-canon fic about Alexios settling down in Sparta, getting used to having a home, Brasidas teaching him about what it means to be a Spartan, Brasidas interacting with Alexios's family (I just really need Brasidas and Stentor in one room); Brasidas and Alexios having a really hard time finding places to hook up in peace because neither of them lives alone ...
Alexios seems pretty chill about being into men, but maybe Brasidas isn't? Or maybe they both are chill about it in general, but there were still so many cultural hangups in Ancient Greece about which men you're allowed to be into, and about penetrative sex, and and and, so feel free to write me some angst about any of those things
jealousy! whether it's while they're pining, or while they're friends with benefits and then they slowly realise they're not really okay with the other one sleeping around anymore
any AU in which Alexios grows up in Sparta, especially if you go with Brasidas becoming Alexios's erastes and Nikolaos approving very much - I'm totally on board with underage
I'm not super into the whole Isu/artefacts aspect of the game, tbh, so I'd love an AU in which Greek mythology is simply real and the gods like meddling and that's why there's lots of weird magic and creatures and items around (I will admit that a big part of this is because I want to hear the bizarre story of how Zeus got Myrrine pregnant - thunderstorms? a sexy possum? a tree fell on her head? because clearly Alexios is Zeus's son ;)) - this could work well for adventure fic, or for something like the gods or some monster creating a soulbond between them, or for any of the gods giving Alexios some big task and Brasidas trying to help, or for Hades demanding something from Alexios if he wants to get dead!Brasidas back ...

Blitz (2011)
Tom Brant/Porter Nash

I adore the relationship between Nash and Brant, the banter and dickishness, but there's also a lot of respect and trust, and it's there pretty much from the start (I love how Brant just shows up at Nash's door to tell him about all his problems basically a day after they met). I'd love to see anything that explores how their relationship develops further after the movie or something exploring what was going on between them during the movie.

casefic, especially if they use somewhat unconventional methods again
slow burn getting together fic in which they work together for ages and neither of them wants to make the first step (Nash because he knows better than to hit on his apparently straight macho coworker, Brant because he's very uncomfortable and in denial about his feelings/attraction)
or conversely: rough hookups they never talk about and pretend didn't happen, because they just work together, it's not like there are any feelings involved, right?
internalised homophobia and masculinity issues on Brant's part, especially contrasted with how comfortable Nash is with his sexuality (I'm fine both with Brant being so completely in denial he's never slept with a man before, or just deeply closeted and hooking up with men in secret and horrified by the very idea of anyone who knows him ever finding out he's gay)
jealousy: maybe Nash starts seeing someone and that's the kick in the ass Brant needs (either to finally make the first step, or to admit that their hookups meant more than he liked to admit); I'd also love to see the other side of this - Nash maybe wondering why he'd much rather have his alcoholic repressed asshole coworker than a perfectly nice, respectable, out boyfriend
anything dealing with how fucked up they both are: Brant's alcoholism, his blackouts, both their violent streaks ...
more about their past: are they still in touch with their families? any nice, friendly exes of Nash's who might show up on his doorstep and wonder what the hell he's doing with this macho asshole? any unsolved old cases being re-opened? old enemies wanting revenge?
for porn: I'm open to anything, but one idea I'd love to see would be Nash as a dominant bottom who loves telling Brant exactly how to fuck him. If you want to go kinkier with this - Brant getting off on Nash ordering him around, humiliating dirty talk about how Brant is just a dumb brute who's not good for anything but fucking Nash, Nash putting a collar on him ... But, again, totally optional, if you want to write fluffier, gentler sex, I have no objections to that. :)

Deus Ex
Adam Jensen/Jim Miller, Adam Jensen/Jim Miller/Francis Pritchard

Note:

I've played Human Revolution and Mankind Divided and I've read Black Light. I don't mind spoilers for any of the other games or comics or whatever else there is, but I'd prefer not to get a fic that requires me to be familiar with those parts of canon.

Adam's injuries prior to getting his augs are obviously exempt from my "no permanent injuries" DNW. However, I don't want anyone else to get their limbs ripped off or the like, and I don't want Adam's augs to get permanently disabled or destroyed.

I love Adam so much: that he's a genuinely good guy who wants to help people, that he's snarky and cheeky and irreverent, that (at least post-augs) he's pretty withdrawn and emotionally unavailable and has all these walls built around himself (and I really want someone to get past them). I like angst and suffering and Adam is a well of suffering, and I enjoy it while simultaneously wanting nice things to happen to him (after lots of beautiful suffering). As for Miller, I love that he has a temper and is impatient and often isn't particularly nice, but underneath that gruffness he cares about doing the right thing and he cares about his men. Similar with Pritchard: he's such a prickly jerk, but at the same time he's always ready to drop anything to help Adam. I'd also be happy to see any other TF29 or SI characters appear in the story. I'd especially love to see Sarif and Miller meet.

Adam Jensen/Jim Miller

the direct aftermath of London: I was disappointed that there wasn't another conversation between them at the end of the game, but that's what fic is for. Miller wanting to know how Adam got the antidote, demanding a justification for disobeying his orders, maybe some desperate you're-not-dead sex or just a sharp increase in UST they're both trying to ignore ...
generally a lot of things happen in game that aren't talked about that I'd love for them to have a conversation about some day: like the time Adam broke into Miller's place, or how Adam got his augs (to what extent does Miller know what happened and just how involuntary that was?)
I love there being some tension and arguments and disagreements between them even once they do trust each other, simply because they're not the easiest people to get along with and horribly stubborn
the aftermath of however and whenever they hook up for the first time (and of course the first time itself!): does Miller try to put a stop to it because he's Adam's boss? does Adam because he thinks he's not good (enough) for Miller? do they hook up regularly after missions and never talk about it? do they slowly fall in love while thinking all they can have is this friends with benefits arrangement?
casefic, working together either for TF29 or Adam's saving-the-world schemes: making plans, Miller as sniper support while Adam sneaks in somewhere, rescuing each other, patching each other up, stuck in difficult situations together ...
fun with CASIE! Maybe Miller wants Adam to use it on him so he knows what it feels like (and can stop being paranoid about it, or worrying that another Aug could use it on him without him noticing), and it has some ... side effects. Maybe Miller enjoys getting pheromone-dosed until his brain short-circuits while they have sex.
touch-starved Adam who thinks nobody could ever want him the way he is (except maybe someone with an Aug fetish, and he doesn't want to be someone's shiny Aug sex toy); Adam just melting when someone touches him; Adam who doesn't enjoy jerking off anymore with his new hands and is very blue-balled

give me all the angst, the nightmares, the PTSD, the trust issues - for both of them. All the issues Adam still has with his body and with what was done to him, all the conflicted feelings he has about that and refuses to deal with. The fact that pretty much his entire life from before (friends, job, dog :((, girlfriend etc.) is gone for good. But I'm also here for some angst for Jim: he almost died, he found out there's a big evil conspiracy, he went through a nasty divorce after a decade of marriage, his daughter is very sick ... I like them hurting, and I like them trying in their own, possibly awkward, ways to be there for each other.
porn! Whether it's an ill-advised hookup early on, or finally fucking after ages of UST and denial, or even trying out something new in an established relationship ... I am incredibly into subby Adam and Miller taking charge. Adam being eager to please, Adam desperately wanting someone to touch his actual skin (and much preferring to blow people than to jerk them off). Maybe Miller expected him to be repressed about guys and is surprised when Adam isn't? Or maybe Adam actually has fairly little experience with men, that works for me too.
tropey tropes I like for them: undercover as a couple (whether they're infiltrating some skeevy place for sugar daddies with Aug hookers/sex slaves or a pro-Aug organisation and are posing as a happily married couple) or marriage of convenience (maybe some new anti-Aug law is passed and a non-Aug spouse is one of the only ways to avoid the new rules and harassment, so Miller offers just to keep Adam safe and then they have to live together and it's terribly awkward because they're both in denial about how into each other they are)
stealing this verbatim from someone else's letter (I really hope that person doesn't mind), but it's perfect and I want it, too: someone being dehumanizing to Adam in front of Miller, either in a situation where Miller can actually do something about it or one where they both just have to take it. People talking about and treating Adam like an object, being objectifying, stuff like that.
anything involving Miller's family: they talk about his daughter, or Adam somehow meets the kids and/or the ex, or there's a threat to Miller's family and he sends Adam to save/protect them ... I'm very here for Miller trusting Adam with his family and for Adam interacting with Neil and the kids.
infidelity! what if Jim's marriage wasn't in complete shambles yet (but slowly getting there) by the time MD happens, but he still ends up falling in love with Adam? Guilty pining and Adam being sure he and Jim are never happening (and anyway he shouldn't want Jim to leave his family, that's selfish) and UST eventually leading to spectacular bad idea sex they both feel awful about afterwards. :D
I'd be very interested in an AU in which the Incident didn't happen and the political situation in MD is more similar to what we saw in HR, simply because I find that far more interesting in terms of worldbuilding: maybe Adam still works for TF29 because he quit his job at SI once he'd found Megan (and in this verse stopped the Incident from happening?), but in this AU his augs pretty much make him the golden boy, which would make for very different conflicts with e.g. Mac, or maybe people like Mac and Miller are getting pressured into getting augs to become better at their jobs etc. Or maybe this Adam doesn't work for TF29 and meets Miller under different circumstances (but still doesn't know for the longest time if he can trust him).

Adam Jensen/Jim Miller/Francis Pritchard

I mostly see this happening post-MD, maybe because Adam calls Pritchard for help with something. A lot of set-ups for the eventual OT3/threesome could be interesting: maybe Adam has slept with them both once or twice and it's awkward because he wants them both and can't decide and feels greedy. Maybe Adam and Jim got together post-MD and Adam feels bad that he wants someone else even though he's happy with Jim (whether or not he's slept with Pritchard before). Maybe Adam and Jim were on the verge of getting together, but then Pritchard shows up and there's clearly some History there and suddenly Jim isn't so sure anymore if Adam really wants to be with him or not. Maybe Adam has always had UST with both of them, but nothing ever happened, and it eventually explodes in a steaming hot threesome.

I see this starting out as a V constellation - Jim and Frank are both into Adam, Adam is into both of them, and they're willing to put up with each other for his sake. But long term I'd like them to actually start caring about each other, too - I'd love to see how that happens.

any getting together scenario (see my rambling above - TLDR: I'd love any possible version of events)
first impressions - I can see Jim and Frank being a bit wary of each other at first and wondering why Adam trusts this guy so much, but I also think they could grow to respect each other.
all the angst! Adam having feelings for them both and thinking it'd be dishonest to get with either of them while also pining for the other, Jim and/or Frank thinking that Adam clearly wants/loves the other guy more/is more serious about him and they're just the third wheel, any of them thinking that their threeway arrangement can't possibly last and sooner or later someone is getting dumped ... (note: I'm not into ~healthy poly discussions~; all three of them are fairly emotionally unavailable guys who aren't great at talking about their feelings, and I prefer small gestures, quiet moments of realisation, half-spoken sentences that carry a lot of meaning, slowly figuring things out etc. over them sitting down and having a long conversation to negotiate their relationship, because I don't enjoy reading that)
Jim and Frank getting closer: bonding over video games or some other shared interest or over Adam being a reckless pain in the ass; stuck in a dangerous situation together without Adam around; working together to save Adam from a dangerous situation; something domestic while Adam is busy elsewhere and they realise that they've grown used to having each other around and enjoy it; the first time they have sex without Adam there (or even just the first time all three of them have sex and Jim and Frank actually do something with each other beyond briefly touching while they're both more focused on Adam) - I'd love to see this growing from a V arrangement mostly for Adam's sake to an actual OT3 where they all actually enjoy being together and wouldn't want it any different
porn would be excellent, whether first time or established relationship. I like Jim and Frank topping Adam together (mostly because I really enjoy subby Adam) and taking care of him - whether they're working together or are trying to one-up each other. I see Frank as pretty switchy, so if you want to write something like Jim-fucking-Adam-fucking-Frank, I'd be so on board with that. I'd love to see any kinds of firsts, especially firsts between Jim and Frank (that could be fun from Adam's POV, if he's worried they don't actually like each other, and sees them slowly growing closer - first time he sees them kiss, or one blow the other, or shower together ...). Spitroasting, DP, one of them holding Adam down/holding his mouth open while the other fucks him, one of them fucking him after the other did and commenting on how wet and messy he is ... knock yourself out with all the beautiful things threesome porn can include. :D

Fallout: New Vegas

Fic

I'm not entirely sure why I have such a craving for Legion fic because I don't even find them that much fun in-game, but maybe that's why I desperately need fic - because the game leaves so many questions open about them and so many gaps to be filled. That and I find characters who are horrible people entertaining. Feel free to go dark and fucked up with these assholes, that's what they're there for, although I'd enjoy it if there was a bit more to them than just doing everything for the evulz. We do get a good look at what goes on in Caesar's head in the game, but the same can hardly be said for Lucius or Vulpes, so I'd enjoy fic that gives them a bit more depth. (I really don't like secretly-not-so-bad Vulpes, though. I know that seems to be a thing in fandom, but it's not my kind of thing. Let him be horrid and evil. I do like not-necessarily-a-horrible-person-at-heart-just-devoted-to-a-horrible-system!Lucius, but not going-to-desert-the-Legion-first-chance-he-gets!Lucius.)

I'd also enjoy the hell out of some Legion worldbuilding. I'd love to see more about growing up in the Legion, what life is like back in the Eastern territories, what everyday life is like, what the Mojave would look like if the Legion wins at the end of the game (Caesar wants his Rome - let him have it and show me what he does with it), expanding on worldviews, political/military discussions among the Legion higher-ups, to what extent people like Lucius or Vulpes believe all that Son of Mars stuff, things like education and language use (I'm always here for language geekery like which things they use Latin for and if maybe Latin becomes increasingly a lingua franca when you assimilate a bunch of tribes that speak different English dialects ...)

Especially the prompts involving Arcade stray darker than what I usually prefer and I'm totally fine with that, no happy ending required (and I certainly don't expect anyone to be in love for these ships). However, I'd still prefer if there was more to the fic than just unrelenting misery, and most of my DNWs like no character death and no mutilation etc. still apply - I don't want to read about Arcade's canon death, for example. Am totally okay with killing off Caesar, though, as long as you somehow get Lanius out of the way first so someone slightly less batshit like Lucius takes over.

Caesar/Arcade Gannon

intellectual discussions slave!Arcade lets himself get drawn into because he can't resist an argument (and he does seem to have a kind of grudging, horrified respect for Caesar while also disapproving of him in every possible way) - Arcade occasionally enjoying their discussions and hating himself for it
I find it fascinating that Caesar likes Arcade despite the fact that he seems to despise it whenever anyone disagrees with him, so I'd love to see how that happened

villainous loyalty kink is one of my favourite things. Caesar is such a hypocritical jerk in game, I'd love to get to see him through the eyes of men who think he's the greatest person ever. Or who maybe think he is fallible, but still are loyal to him and believe in what he does. (Especially for Vulpes, I find the combination of Utterly Ruthless Sociopath and Genuine Belief in the Legion and its ideals fascinating.)
how much of the official Legion doctrine does Lucius/Vulpes believe? and if they don't believe it, how do they reconcile that with being devoted to Caesar anyway?
background stories: we know how Vulpes became a frumentarius, but did Caesar then personally keep an eye on that smart young legionary or did a few years pass before he saw him again? When did Vulpes become the head of the frumentarii? What about the circumstances of Lucius becoming a praetorian, and then head of the praetorians? What was it like for either of them to actually get to meet and know the man they were taught to worship from afar since they were kids?
I'm reaaally here for messy consent issues, with Caesar demanding what he wants and the other one not being in any position to say no (and not even thinking that they should be able to say no) - whether he feels honoured or kinda uncomfortable or actively unhappy about it or something in between. Could be extra interesting if you add some masculinity issues and/or internalised homophobia.

I was not happy with what canon did with them in recent movies, so I'd prefer if we could just ignore that. I'm not interested in the watered down version of them where Owen was just manipulated by Cypher and Deckard is secretly not all that bad and also likes babies. And now there's a random sister or something like that? I don't care. I want to read about them being the unrepenting, murderous fucks we got in F&F 6 and 7 because I'm into this ship for us-against-the-world villains who don't care about anyone else, not secret good guys.

Deckard is 8 years older than Owen, so Owen was still a kid when Deckard joined the military: how did that go? Was there any resentment on Owen's side? Did he just have a big case of hero worship, since he followed his brother's example as soon as he could?
at what point did they go from big brother/little brother to equals?
how did they both manage to get kicked out of the SAS? Did they fuck up? Did one of them fuck up and the other followed him into exile, so to speak? Did they get blamed for someone else's mistake? Did they get greedy and start making money on the side? Or anything about that time the military sent a ton of Special Forces guys to kill Deckard and they failed?
post-F7 fic: either Deckard breaking out of prison and being there while Owen recovers, or Owen waking up from his coma and getting back to his feet and breaking his brother out of prison (I'd prefer if Owen didn't have any permanent health issues from his coma; it's an action movie, people can survive horrific injuries with not much more than a few scars, right?). How does almost dying/getting locked up change their relationship? Roaring rampage of revenge y/y? (While I like the protagonists of the F&F movies, I'm not so emotionally attached to them that I wouldn't happily read about the Shaw brothers getting their revenge against them.)

Did teenage Owen somehow manipulate his big brother into giving him what he wants? while I didn't like what F&F8 did with them otherwise, Cypher was a really cool villain, so if you wanted to write a plotty, action-y fic in which the Shaw brothers go after Cypher together (not for ~corrupting~ Owen, but maybe simply because she fucked them over at some point), that would be awesome.
I'm always here for F&F/Expendables crossovers, whether it's just the Shaws and the Expendables working together, or the Shaws and Lee having history from their time in the SAS, or Owen banging Lee because he looks like Deckard ...

The Hateful Eight (2015)
Chris Mannix/Marquis Warren

I love their initial antagonism, I love that they have every reason to hate and despise each other, and yet they still end up working together and trusting each other. I love that for all his hatred, Mannix almost seems to admire Warren from the start and is surprisingly respectful towards him at times ('please, Major, let me shoot that ugly bastard' comes to mind).

There is so much potential for their relationship if they survive, so I'd love to read any fic in which they do survive (somehow, I don't care how medically implausible it is) and maybe partner up as bounty hunters or see each other every time Warren shows up with new bounties (if we assume that Mannix actually is the new sheriff of Red Rock). And they're the weirdest, most mismatched pair of sort-of-friends ever and constantly confuse people around them, and they grow closer without ever entirely getting over their antagonism and their disagreements, probably switching between 'aw, I'm starting to like him' and 'I'm going to murder him if he doesn't shut his goddamn mouth' twice per conversation. And eventually they end up sleeping with each other. Maybe because they share a bed/blankets in the next cold winter and that leads to more? Maybe because they're angry at each other and fighting about something and that leads to more? Maybe one of them gets injured again and the other takes care of him and there's some gentler affection going on? (Please let's pretend Warren only got shot in the upper thigh or, idk, got one ball shot off and the rest is still intact.)

I usually love switching for all my ships, but I figure that any kind of sexual encounter between them would have Warren in charge, simply because there's no way Warren would ever let any man, let alone a white man, top him in any way. Plus, Mannix clearly has a bit of a submissive streak and is so very eager to please. I'm okay with both rougher, more antagonistic interpretations of their relationship and with gentler stuff that focuses more on their shared experiences and how much they owe each other. Or ideally a combination of both. :D

Ahn Sang-goo/Woo Jang-hoon

Note:

Sang-goo's hand is exempt from my "no permanent injuries" DNW - no need to retcon or fix that, although I'd still prefer if nobody lost any additional limbs (except their antagonists maybe ;)).

This movie is such great fun, all the intrigue and scheming and revenge plotting, and of course I have a massive soft spot for characters with very different morals and ideas about how the world is or should be working together. I love how Jang-hoon, the "good guy" of the two, the righteous, principled one who believes in justice, is also a rude dick who seems to antagonise people just because it's fun and people suck, while Sang-goo, the violent, fairly ruthless gangsters, is much more amiable (unless you cross him, of course). I love how their relationship starts completely antagonistic and turns so much friendlier in absolutely no time, how quickly Sang-goo decides to trust him, basically putting his life in his hands (and so shortly after finding out another person he trusted fucked him over and betrayed him), I love how their initial insulting each other quickly turns into much friendlier banter, how they keep teasing each other. And, you know, how the movie basically ends with them deciding to go on a date because that's totally something you do with people on the other side of the law whom you don't even know all that well. ;D

I could read a hundred different post-canon getting together fics about them: how do things continue between them after that last scene? Do they jump each other's bones that very night because they've been flirting almost since they met? Do they proceed to have months or years of slow-burning UST and pining while they become friends and meet up for dinner all the time and tease each other and banter and neither of them wants to ruin that by making the first move? Does it take some kind of outside element like one of them getting hurt for them to get over each other? Does one of them maybe make the first move, but gets rejected (because the other one is repressed or whatever reason), and they only get together much later?
if you want to write something plotty: the post-credit scene heavily applies that Lee&co aren't done yet, so what if they are let out of prison a few years later and want to get back at them?
all the banter and insulting each other, including in bed. Also, how that banter gets friendlier over time, how Jang-hoon's insults slowly turn into endearments (he already says "gangster" in the fondest voice at the end of the movie).
maybe some conflicts arising out of the whole "lawyer and gangster" thing? Maybe Jang-hoon can live with a certain amount of illegal stuff he knows Sang-goo is up to, but there are lines he won't let him cross (at least not to his knowledge)? Maybe Jang-hoon gets somehow dragged into one of those deals, like someone thinking it'd be a great idea to abduct Sang-goo's BFF/lover to blackmail him? Of course Sang-goo would burn everything down to get him back and Jang-hoon would be fucking furious that was even necessary.
I love repression and denial in fics, especially for characters like these two. I could see it for either one or both of them: I can see Sang-goo as fairly relaxed about his sexuality because he's a gangster who does what he wants anyway, but I could also see him having a lot of masculinity hangups and being in complete denial about wanting men. I can see Jang-hoon not giving a fuck because he strongly believes all people should be equal (though he'd still be incredibly closeted, of course), but I can also see him being completely repressed because he knows how much anything like that would hurt his career and his dream of a successful, normal life. I could see a total top clash where they're both willing to sleep with a man, but neither is willing to bottom because they'd consider that way "more gay". Additionally, I could see Sang-goo having some issues about anyone staring too much/touching his right arm, and Jang-hoon just not giving a shit because he still wants him more than anyone else.
I really enjoyed those scenes with Jang-hoon's father, how much those two bitch at each other while still clearly caring a lot, and also how incredibly polite and respectful Sang-goo is to him (because he does have manners, unlike some people ;)). So if you felt like including him, and what he thinks about his prickly asshole of a son befriending the gangster he stashed at his place that one time, that could be great.
I'm mostly into post-canon fic for these two, but I also wouldn't mind some kind of canon divergence where some part of their revenge/justice plan goes wrong and they have to improvise, although I would prefer a happy ending.
if you want to write smut: suit porn, rough sex, manhandling, roughness, lots of banter in bed, competitive sex, arguing about who gets to top or maybe convoluted deals ("if you blow me, you get to fuck me") even once they're both enjoying pretty much all of it, lots of body worship (Sang-goo's tattoo and insanely perfect muscles, and maybe also petting the stump of his arm), sauna sex, spanking (maybe Sang-goo gets tired of Jang-hoon being a rude little shit), and really any of the kinks I listed above.
I could definitely see some fluffier things for them, too, especially once they are together: nice dinners, Sang-goo getting Jang-hoon gifts and Jang-hoon complaining about it, visiting his dad again and hanging out by that lake, actually running off to the Maldives to spend a week doing nothing but sprawling around drinking Mojitos ...

Mass Effect
Male Shepard/Garrus Vakarian, Male Shepard/James Vega, Male Shepard/Garrus Vakarian/James Vega

Because I'm very frustrated the games didn't let me romance the characters I wanted to romance most. I adore Shepard's relationship with both Garrus and James so much: that undying loyalty, will-follow-you-to-the-end-of-the-galaxy friendship he has with Garrus, and how much renegade Shepard enables Garrus's darker impulses and how much they just get each other; and that more complicated relationship with James, the fact that James massively hero-worshipped Shepard before meeting him, and then babysat him for six months when Shepard was at his lowest, and then in ME3 he really feels like one of the people who keep Shepard grounded, who are aware that he's human and that this war is taking a toll on him, that his hero is fallible.

I strongly prefer renegade Shepard (who is nicer to his companions/friends) - ruthless and efficient, the end justifies the means, snarky and intimidating, willing to do whatever needs to be done, no matter the cost to himself or to others. Should it come up, I really prefer him sabotaging the genophage for that reason because Shepard having to kill two of his friends to do what he thinks is right is such a horrifically great moment in the games. I picked the Spacer/Ruthless backgrounds and vanguard as his class, but I'm not fixated on that, if you want to use something else. Ending-wise, I think for fic a handwavey "the Crucible destroyed the Reapers without destroying the geth, and Shepard is alive" works best. I'd also be super interested in a variation of the Control ending, though, in which Shepard doesn't die while uploading part of himself into a God-AI, simply because the mindfuck of co-existing with an all-powerful AI version of yourself must be incredible. In general, I love stoic and/or angry suffering, so feel free to whump Shepard hard as long as there's a happy-ish ending.

I'm very attached to his default looks and name, so please no custom Shepards. I love pretty much all the other companions and am happy to read about them. My other faves are Zaeed, Legion, Miranda, Jack, Cortez, Mordin, Joker, Grunt, Samara, Traynor.

Male Shepard/Garrus Vakarian

all the awkward getting together scenarios, whether it's something similar to the canon romance for femShep or something completely different (though I wouldn't want a simple retelling of the canon romance just with mShep, please). I'd love them hooking up to blow off steam, but I'd also be really interested in a fic in which they pine and pine for ages while thinking their friend doesn't want anything more than friendship - maybe they only sleep with each other just before the final assault on Earth because they both know they might die, or maybe it's only after Shepard almost died at the end of the game that they do something about all that attraction
I love Garrus being confused by his attraction to a human - whereas Shepard is maybe more chill about being into a turian. I'd be definitely here for Garrus seeing Shepard hook up with turians when they're on the Citadel and having very complicated feelings about it (jealousy? but why would he be jealous, shouldn't he be glad his friend is getting laid? relief? but why would he be relieved that Shepard is clearly into turians when Garrus is tooootally not interested in him that way ...)
Shepard hurting and Garrus being (almost) the only one who catches on and sees through his "I'm totally fine" facade is like catnip to me (that scene when Garrus figures out Shepard sabotaged the genophage and killed Mordin is one of my favourites). More of that, always. Shepard getting captured by someone and tortured or raped or otherwise hurt, or he has to make more awful decisions that weigh on him, and he bottles it all up and refuses to talk about it and Garrus is just quietly there for him (and cheers him up with snark and shooting competitions).
so, mhm, Garrus clearly has an awkward romantic streak and Shepard ... not so much. I'm all for the hilarity that may ensue from that.
post-canon fic: I'm all for Shepard being badly hurt/in a coma and nobody knowing if he'll live for a while. I'm also here for post-war Shepard having lots of trouble readjusting to a normal life (well, what counts as normal for him, he's still a soldier - I'm not interested in him retiring). How do you even have a normal life if you're the fucking saviour of the galaxy? I can see him running away from all that to his usual marine duties and chasing the next battle and refusing to deal with how weirdly numb and empty he feels without death constantly looming.
I love turians in general and am super interested in more worldbuilding for them: relationship traditions/expectations, meeting Garrus's family, stuff like grooming, possible issues with an interspecies relationship, possible issues with Garrus dating someone who's in essence his commanding officer as long as he serves on the Normandy (is that acceptable for turians or not?) ... I'm always interested in cultural differences and misunderstandings (also ye goode olde trope of one of them doing something innocuous the other misunderstands as a romantic overture, or conversely doing something romantic the other misunderstands as friendly or even insulting ...)

I mostly see this starting as a V - they both want Shepard, Shepard wants them both, it leads to a mildly awkward threeway arrangement, and over time Garrus and Vega actually start being into each other as well. They're already buddies who love a good snark and clearly like each other, so that's a good start.

I don't have specific prompts as such; I'd love to see any of the things I've requested above just for all three of them together. Whumping Shepard, post-canon fic, weird cultural differences, some conflicts about wanting a human/turian/dude, lots of porn (double-teaming Shepard y/y?). I love how ridiculously competitive Garrus and James are, and I'd love to see that extend to sex and ridiculous competitions like who can make Shepard come faster, or fuck him for longer, anything like that.

Any set-up for this is good. Whether you start with Shepard/Garrus and James joins them somehow, or Shepard/James getting together and Garrus thinks he missed his chance (but he didn't), or Shepard having mad UST with both of them and maybe eventually deciding he wants them both, or hell, even Garrus and James hooking up over their pining for Shepard and Shepard wondering why the hell he wasn't invited. ;)

Canderous Ordo/Male Revan

I strongly prefer Dark Side Revan, although I'm also fine with a more morally grey version of Revan if that's what you want to write, who's not really interested in this whole binary opposition of good and evil, but just does his own thing. Actually even with Dark Side Revan I prefer Pragmatic Evil and ruthless, power-hungry ambition over Ludicrous Evil and "bwahahaha I kick puppies in my free time for the Evulz". Mostly I'm just not interested in redeemed, saintly Light Side Revan. If you want to include any of the other characters, that's fine by me, although I'd rather not read about Bastila. I especially love HK-47 because he's fucking hilarious.

loyalty kink, because Canderous canonically just about worships the ground Revan walks on, so I'd love to see anything that expands on that - kneeling and hand-kissing and "loyal dog" rhetoric, including things liks Revan calling Canderous his dog in bed

inappropriate uses of the Force: Force-choking, Force-bondage, rough pain play combined with Force-healing, inappropriate uses of telepathy - making Canderous hallucinate, making him feel Revan's presence in his mind, Revan controlling his body while letting Canderous be aware of what he's doing (I'm fine with dubcon, although I'd prefer if the relationship in itself was consensual/if Canderous basically considered it Revan's right to do whatever he likes with him) ... did I mention Force-choking? ;D
mind bonds are generally a lot of fun to play around with: Revan staying in touch that way when they're apart, invading Canderous' dreams, commenting on Canderous' actions or thoughts, whispering into his brain when Canderous is jerking off or fucking someone else
I'd prefer if Revan, no matter how DS, was at least somewhat emotionally attached to Canderous and didn't only consider him a useful tool; I also love the whole villains in love trope - Revan loving Canderous with all that mad, possessive Dark Side passion ...

Jonathan Reid/Geoffrey McCullum

This ship has so many things I love! Antagonism and profound distrust and grudging respect and so much potential to work together reluctantly and grow closer ... I'm easy. :D I did a Not Even Once playthrough and ended up being incredibly frustrated by the game's morality system, where letting awful people go free or saving their life is apparently always the best choice, and I realised that I much prefer a version of Jonathan who's generally a good person and wants to help others, but who can also be rather ruthless and is very willing to get his hands dirty when he thinks someone deserves it. I love that he and Geoffrey are both stubborn people who tend to think they're always right, and I love how much they'll probably always butt heads even once they're closer.

I didn't enjoy the forced romance, so I'd prefer if we could pretend that Jonathan and Elisabeth were simply friends (and tbh thematically I prefer the ending in which she chooses to die to the one where he saves her with the power of love or somesuch). I'd also prefer if Swansea didn't show up (unless it's before his possible in-game death, of course) because I have a hard time justifying turning him in-game. I also prefer Jonathan not turning Geoffrey in-game, simply because I find it more interesting if they have some time to get to know each other better while Geoffrey is still human, but I'm totally up for him turning Geoffrey later on.

getting to know each other better post-game: maybe they keep running into each other on their nightly rounds, maybe they have to work together to defeat some big bad evil vampire, maybe one of them saves the other's life ...
Geoffrey stalking Jonathan post-game because he wants to make sure that he's really the good guy he claims to be, watching him night after night - maybe Jonathan starts growing on him, or maybe he saves his ass one night when Jonathan picks a fight he can't win, or maybe Jonathan does something very suspicious-looking and Geoffrey has to investigate further ...
antagonistic hate sex! maybe after they worked together on something and argued half the time and were still a decent team and they drive each other crazy ... maybe they make a habit of post-hunting antagonistic hate sex, and over time it turns less and less antagonistic ...
Jonathan is pretty lonely, and it's hard to meet new people or reconnect with old friends when you have a secret that big and ugly, and Geoffrey is one of the few people he can actually just be himself around - I generally like the idea that, even early on when they don't like each other, they can both offer the other something they can't have with any other people in their lives
I'd love to know more about Geoffrey's, er, coworkers in the Guard, since they're probably basically his family - we only see him interacting with people he dislikes and distrusts in-game, I'd love to see what he's like with people he cares about; I'd also love to see him explaining his fellow vampire hunters why this one vampire is actually kind of okay
Geoffrey knows more about vampires than Jonathan does, so when Jonathan needs help with something vampire-related (some new problem with feral skals? some new powers he has trouble controlling? some confusing old artefact he dug up somewhere?), he asks Geoffrey for help
Jonathan turning Geoffrey eventually, whether it's many years later and Geoffrey actually agreed to it, or spontaneously after Geoffrey gets badly injured and Jonathan refuses to let him die; or alternately Geoffrey getting turned by Arthur's blood - in any case I'd love to see his extremely conflicted feelings about becoming what he hated most his entire life (and if Jonathan is the one to turn him? fun with telepathic bonds yay :D)
Geoffrey letting Jonathan drink his blood: maybe Jonathan got so badly injured in a fight that he doesn't even heal and the sun will be rising soon and Geoffrey does it to save his life ...
Catholic guilt and shame! Considering that faith has demonstrable power in this setting, I could definitely see Geoffrey as fairly devout. Between that and it being the 1910s, he might well have a few hangups about being attracted to men - is he trying to be in complete denial? or not in denial, but doing his damnedest not to act on it until that damn leech comes along? does he occasionally fuck rentboys and then hate himself for it afterwards, but he's never actually been with someone he didn't pay?
class differences: feel free to sprinkle these heavily over whatever you're writing, because I'm sure a posh successful West End boy and an orphaned not-exactly-rich Irish guy have lived very different lives
if you're familiar with Rivers of London and so inclined, I'd love to see a crossover: whether it's Jonathan and Geoffrey meeting young Nightingale and his Folly friends in the 20s/30s, maybe working together on a vampire-related case, or there's some ~arrangement~ between the Folly and the Guard of Priwen ... or present-day fic in which Peter meets Jonathan and vampire!Geoffrey and is very surprised that actualfax movie-style vampires DO exist after all (maybe the reason there are so few of them in the RoL verse is because Geoffrey killed most of them over the past decades) ... I feel like Jonathan would get along fairly well with both Nightingale and Peter (nerding out over scientific explanations for supernatural stuff together!); Geoffrey probably less so ...
