I'm really getting frustrated by my own inability to write halfway decent smut. *grumble* I can deal with not being able to write proper battle scenes, as I have no real intention to do that any more often than absolutely necessary ... but I want to write smut. I like smut. I want my poor victims characters to get their share of smutty sex. And it always turns out to be more difficult than it should be. And I'm getting sick of cutting off all the interesting scenes just because no smut is still better than bad smut. Good smut would be better than no smut, though.

Anyway, the source of my frustration is that I'm currently working on my first 3:10 to Yuma fanfic, which is just a little one-shot to explore my still slightly vague vision of Charlie and Ben's relationship. And erm, these two just need smut. It's almost impossible to write about them and not have them get it on in every detail. Why? Because they're even in canon incredibly slashy, and first fanfictions are always there to deal with the things canon messed up (i.e. no explicit slash :P). (I'm an obsessed fangirl? Oh, please don't tell me you hadn't already noticed.) So, the scene is done so far, but it isn't even half as hot as it ought to be. Needs more work (on my part, not on theirs - the poor guys are already working hard enough). I really should find something like "Writing Smut for Dummies". *chuckle*

Enough rambling for today. I'd better stop to get all worked up about something like that. Instead I should rather ... go back to work and make it better. ;P
