Leather trench coat plus hat ... he looks so Gestapo. ;)





You can't see much of his face here, but I know that some of you like leather trench coats ... (I'm not looking at anyone. ;))






He was licking his lips because he was yelling at the priest, and August just licks his lips very often. Taken out of context, though, this picture looks very compromising:


His smile is so beautiful, and at the same time so cold here. I love it. Also, he's less pale in this movie than in most other movies I've seen him in, makes him look less ill and screwed-up.

Kremer: Why didn't you become a priest?

And, finally, after spending the whole movie in his grey suit like a good Gestapo officer, he wears his uniform in the last scene. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get a good look at his boots ...






I can't believe I'm saying this, but in this movie he actually looks better in a suit than in uniform ...

I hope that was enough to convince everyone to watch the movie immediately. And write me some The Ninth Day/Inglourious Basterds-crossover-fic. Please?

These pics are beautiful.

futureperfect and I watched this when it was on tv here, sending flaily texts to each other. OM NOM NOM Gephardt is so cultivated and cool and spends the entire film toying with everything he comes in contact with - priests, cigarettes, writing implements, his food. When he started slapping people (the priest's sister? I can't really remember) he was not supposed to be hot, I'm sure. Guh.

The most Hellstrom thing was the hand-on-arm kommen Sie mit, which in an AU in my brain he does to Hicox in the tavern, before everyone starts being tiresome and shooting each other.

Mmmm people should definitely write Stierlitz/Hellstrom/Gephardt smoking porn. :D

Yep, he slaps the priest's sister, and it was totally hot. He must hate women about as much as Hellstrom. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good screencap of that scene, it happened too quickly and all the pics were blurry.

Haha, yes, sometimes he reminded me so much of Hellstrom, but overall he's very different and very intriguing. I don't think he and Hellstrom would get a long. Devout Catholic and radical atheist (from a Protestant background; yes, I have thought quite a bit about Hellstrom's family and everything ;))? They would not like each other. ;)

Om nom nom. I just don't know how they'd end up in the same room. Untersturmführer, Sturmbannführer, Standartenführer ... the rank differences here might be a problem. But I might have to think of something. ;)

Hmmm. You could get Untersturmführer and Sturmbannführer to cross paths somewhere? Somewhere they could smoke and have long and deep arguments about ethics and carefully step around the actual topic of religion while glaring at each other a lot? Hmmm, somewhere with alcohol.

Mhm, yeah, maybe some bar where the Gestapo likes to hang around. Although I don't think they could talk about ethics and politics for five minutes without starting t4o argue about religion. Although ... om nom hate sex ... Dieter being all like, "why, I'm sure your priests in your Catholic school did that as well" and grinning. ;)

I could watch them trying to have a civilsed discussion without letting themselves boil over into actual argument for DAYS. Two twitchy, chain-smoking Augusts officers just managing to restrain themselves from shouting and slapping and the hatesex they clearly need to have. *__*

Adding the boots could've killed me though. I feel a little odd about having a smoking hot Gestapo officer as my desktop, so I chose the one of August and Til with a clapperboard instead. Guh, August's *concentrating* face. (That one's linked in my journal :D)

Same here. Problem: Gephardt is known to start shouting rather quickly when he gets angry, and Hellstrom would just tell him to STFU at some point because he outranks him. And THEN they'd finally have hate sex. :D

Since Dieter is my shameless self-insert, he doesn't like religion. :P So of course he'd make vulgar jokes about priests.

Yep, I've seen the other pic, will comment later. ^^ I had different Landa desktops for a while ... no problem at home, I live with my brother, who has seen the movie. But people at university who saw a guy in SS-uniform, with swastika and everything, on my laptop desktop gave me very weird looks ...
